Ended The 20th

Finally, my 20th birthday came in the last month. I had no special plans for my birthday. My birthday was day after the election and it was the results casting day. There was curfew in the morning too.

It did not affect me as I had already no plans to go anywhere. I got birthday gifts before the birthday from my closest ones and on the birthday I got wishes from the friends and relatives.

My mother came home from work in the afternoon and she had brought some things for me on the way as a small treat for me. It was included with short-eats and cake slices. My closest cousin sister was not at home that day and I was missing her a bit. So I called her and showed the food and she wanted to come to ours immediately. I did not eat and reserved them to eat with her.

Then she came with her mother in the evening and spent time with me.

The day after the birthday was also started as usual, but ended with a surprise for me. My mother, father and brother had planned to bring a cake to celebrate my birthday. I know that the main planner and the one who wanted to do it was my father who is not in Sri Lanka.

My big brother and mother had planned it. Luckily, my little sister was also there that day. My mother was supposed to go to work at night. So we cut the cake before she leaves.

It was a small celebration only surrounded with the family members, but something I cherish. Finally, I am 20 and started the 21st.
