Unexpected Problem

This is about another experience I got while we were on the way to the beach. Negombo beach side is normally invaded by tourists and their apartments and hotels are there in the beach road.

We have a usual pot we use to enter the beach which is a small side road starting from the main beach road. My friends went to bring some snacks and I waited on that side road. There was a foreigner talking with a local old lady who was sitting by her house's gate. Their house was headed to that side road. The foreigner was talking with them and I was on the other side a bit far from them and was waiting for my friends. The foreigner came to me and asked if I know English. Then I talked with him and he was complaining.

There is a church almost near the area. The church feast had held a few days back and there were some stuff laying on the side road those are the remains of the decorations done in prior of the feast. There werent any owner or a responsible person about them.

The foreigner said that he is a painter and he wants that canvas as it's left there as a waste. Also he said that the garbage collectors will come and collect them anyway and he talked like he see some value in it.

While he was folding some, that lady had interfered him and had told not to bring them as they can't take the responsibility because they are not theirs either. The foreigner was telling me to tell it to the granny clearly, that they are already abondoned as useless stuff and not to make it a big problem as it's gonna be on the garbage tractor tomorrow.

We hopped to something really unrelated for us and we had no idea about what to do. We thought it's okay for him to take them to his apartment as we knew no one is gonna bring it home.

Finally, the foreigner gave up. He said that he doesn't want it anymore and it's useless to talk with that family. He thanked me and went away. We also went to the beach. While walking on the beach again we met and he talked about it again and went away to find his daughter.

When it's useless for you and if someone asks for it because they see it useful, you better give them instead of being greedy when you do not use it either. I don't see any wrong in that. I dont know where he is from. I got that, the things we don't see any use might be valuable for someone else.
