R.L.Spittle was born in Thangalla, SriLanka. He was a part of a dutch family and grown to be a enthusiastic writer together with the career of a doctor. This is about a book written by him. I read the sinhala translated book, by Newton Gunasekara, of the book named "Wild White Boy".
There are a few famous foreigners who have converted the things about Sri Lanka into words. R.L.Spittle is also known as one of them. Out of the books he has written related to Sri Lanka this 'Wild White Boy' is the only book I have read so far.
The book touches the wild life of Sri Lanka back in 1900's. He illustrates the real life of wild animals and also the real life of people who had a wild life, in his books.
Though I read the sinhala translation of his orginial work I loved the flow of the novel and loved the world he had included in paragraphs. Also should appreciate the translator, Newton Gunasekara, as I really enjoyed reading and it kept me engaged, with his pattern of wiriting.
The story is filled with curiosity, adventures and bravery.
