Harshana Dissanayake is the best children singer who made my childhood awesome. Still um in love with his songs. Um not so sure about whether you've heard this song or not. For the first time I accidentally heard this song in 2015 and since then I have a great love for this song too. Not only for the song but also for this heart touching lyrics.

I don't think to give a big explanation about this song. Because anyone who knows sinhala can understand the lyrics very well. I have a great respect for this mahout Appachchi who loved his elephant more than his life. I wonder about the lyricist who had a big, widen heart to touch a mahout's heart. I respect his great humanity of understanding a mahout's heart. So for me Mr Jayathilake Dissanayake is the most respective person of this creation.

Once you listen to this song you will not be able to stop loving this song. Also, feel how your heart is filled with feelings of sympathy, sadness, grief, and honor at the same time.

I must say this. This song is about a man who loved his animal very much. But for any reason I can't agree with the deprivation of the freedom of an animal that lives freely in the forest. I mean any reason. No one can understand the life time suffering of that innocent animal who lost his natural life. So I never say "sadhukara" for such things.
