SL Charity Phase 01 | Project Monaragala Finished With Bringing New Year Smile For Five Families | 25% for SL Charity

Hello everyone,

Finally we made it work!!
Today was the planned day of our Monaragala Charity Project. As my friend Damith explained in his project proposal post we were able to help and give a smile for five families who is suffering from very low economic condition. As this is Sinhala and Tamil new year season of Sri Lanka it was like bringing "AWRUDU" for them.

What We Did ??

We went five homes and five people joined with this.They are, I and @damithudaya who are already steemit members and one of my friend Sahan, my sister and damith's uncle. There were four children in all that five families and we prepared four gifts to for them as well as five parcels contain essential things(food items, medicines etc) for all the family members. I don't think twice to say that @damithudaya did the hardest part of buying and packing necessary things for them.

These little cuties has come to see their grand parents

They were so happy and excited to see us. There was a old grand father, a bed ridden patient who is suffering from paralysis and his wife requested us a wheel chair if possible, and we are trying to give it them with the support of all the members of our community. That grandma thanked us with tears. What we brought them will help in some way.

This nice smile made our day

Here we met an old lovely grand ma and grand father who lives alone. They were so happy to see us and thanked us a lot. I need to see them again and I will.

There were two children and their mother and we brought two gift parcels for them, in addition to the parcel of essential things for them. I am pretty sure they will be so happy after opening their gifts.

It was night when we get there. I've known them for a long time and one of the child is studying in my mother's class. When I saw that kid my heart broke. he is already a Leukemia patient and his mother and sister was packing items for bringing his to the hospital for his treatments which scheduled tomorrow. But when they see us they warmly welcomed us.We saw that little kids happiness of receiving gifts by our own eyes. Also that little kid wanted to see me his drawings too.

We met only one woman in that family and she is the only member of that family. She has children but they don't pay any attention on her mother any more. So she was so delighted to see us and thanked with tears.

We took all these photos with the permission of them, after explaining our purpose. If it's inspire someone to do something for the people who need our help, it's our only happiness and wish.

So today is the one of the best days of my life. This was everyone's effort. This was the wish of Steem Sri Lanka Community. Thank you everyone who gave beneficiaries for Steem Sri Lanka Charity Project.

The reality is we can't change the world. We can't wipe all the tears of this world. But we can change a single person's day week or just a moment. we can make a moment to make them happy. That's what we did. We are so delighted and satisfied and I am pretty sure they too. That's all what we needed through our charity project. We did it!!
