How Was Food At Blue Water Hotel Wadduwa

Today I am going to share about our food experience at Blue Water Hotel. Mmm.... it's a bit confusing how much I should give them from 10.

Let me explain. As I said this hotel is very beautiful and attractive. And I experienced a very delicious dinner a few years back from here. The bad experiences started with stealing my chair :) As I mentioned in my last article, my chair was taken by someone while I was at the buffet line. The meal was a four-course meal with both local and western items. There were two selections for the soup and a good range of selections for salads. But the problem was most salad dishes were empty and it took a long time to refill. During our turn, we had very few items of salads and bites. Also, the sauce bowls were empty even the salad bowls are filled.

There were some salads I didn't like the taste but I must say generally all foods are delicious except the sushi and that particular salad piece.

The soups were fresh and delicious and there were no problems with refilling the soup pot.

And there were plenty of buns which I haven't seen before at a buffet so far.

The main course had a separate western collection and a local collection. Three or four rice dishes, multiple kinds of seafood, and meat dishes including chicken, ham, beef, and a few vegetable dishes were available. Actually, there were only a few vegetarian options on the western menu.

Actually, there was a queue just for fish cutlets because they make cutlets at the premises but it is too slow. All the real-time cooking activities were very slow and people waited in queues to grab the food.

Whatever they had were delicious without a doubt.

It was too late when we finish our meal. It was the last 30 min of the buffet and personally, I was very disappointed with the dessert. Actually, it's our fault, most of the dessert items were over. Even ice cream. Actually, they had only vanilla and chocolate flavors and they were also over.

We took only a few items, and all of them were delicious.

My Conclustion

If you are looking for relaxing dining, this will be a good place. I guess all delays are due to the current situation and cost-cutting. The service is good and the food is really delicious. Probably all delay issues can be skipped if you visit during the first hour of the buffet. The buffet opens at 12.30 and finishes at 3.00 pm. Not bad for 6000 LKR.
