A few days back, I wanted to purchase a concrete bowl to plant the water lily plant I picked from the paddy field. My father took me to a concrete workshop nearby. I have seen this place from the road hundreds of times, but this was the first day I went in.

It was named as Abimani Concrete works and the show area expanded over a huge land. You can find small to large items here and also you can build items according to your own wish.

Near the gate, they have placed large lion and elephant statues. This lion is pretty similar to lion statues in an independent square. I am not sure about prices but suitable for temples or hotels.

The whole land is covered with pots, flower vases, statues, and a huge variety of cement items. I was wondered about how long they thing. Some items were very creative and suitable for modern landscaping.

There was a special showroom for Buddha's statues. It is an indoor show room which I couldn't capture. There were buddha's statues from small to large. Some of the larger statues were placed outside under a shelter. The designs are very neat and good. Also, they have presented in a dramatically way.. Actually, one who purchase following Buddha's statue tends to buy two rabbits too. I personally know that owners are quite good businessmen,

There were remakes of many traditional stoneworks and arts. For example, Sigiri wall arts, Isurumuni Pem Yuwala, Lions of Yapahuwa, Avalokiteshvara statues. Not only Buddhist symbols but also there were Christians' and Hindus' symbols were there.

I walked here and there to touch and observe beautiful things there. Also, they gave us some small fish to put in the bowl to avoid mosquito spreading.

I wish I could purchase all these beautiful statues. Finally, we purchased a cement bowl large enough to plant my water lily. It cost 1350 LKR and they sold it for 1200 LKR.

If you live near here, this place is good for you. Here is Facebook. They also have concrete benches, beams too.
