It is Called "Exam Bubble"

COVID 19 added so many terminologies to our daily vocabulary. The bubble is a word like that.

A Bubble means a set of people who keeps close physical contact but clearly separate from others. All the interactions are limited within the bubble so if any issue found, it can be controlled within the bubble.

For our exams in the university, they have arranged exam bubbles. The whole batch has divided into 8 bubbles and has allocated 8 separate exam halls for exams. Also, the student is arranged in 8 hostel locations by avoiding interactions between bubbles.

We are not allowed to go out from the hostel premises and no one allowed to come inside. We can order food for all three meals using a google form and the food are delivered on time to the hostel. There are two suppliers, Goda Canteen and Sumudu Ayya's food. I usually purchase Sumudu Ayya's food which is tasty but not worth for price :( .

We are provided with two common washrooms, one is on the same floor and another one is in another building. I use both but the washroom in the other building has more privacy. Usually I wakeup at 5.30 a.m so I can finish all cleaning works early including launderies.

We have to report to check the body temperature 2 or 3 times a day. The hostel matron records the body temperature.

For the Exam..

The exam starts at 9.00 a.m and we supposed to get ready and report to the gate by 8.00 a.m. After checking body temperature an instructor comes to take us. We have to follow her as a line :). We walk to exam halls without interacting with other bubbles. Boys of the same bubble, join us at the exam hall.

We have to sadly ignore beautiful Robarosia trees filled with flowers. This is the flowering season of Robarosia and the whole university now turned pink with this beautiful flower. I didn't take my phone so that I wasn't able to take any photos. I wish I could have one more day with my boyfriend to smell this Robarosia before we leave the university! :(

After we reach to exam halls we have to sit according to our index. We are not allowed to share or ask for any stationery from invigilators except extra papers. They have arranged the papers and strings on the desk and no interaction happens. In the early days, we were open to leaving the exam hall if we finish early, but now we have to wait until the end.

After the exam, we have to put our papers in a separate box. Early, invigilators collected them, but now we have to put them in a box by ourselves. Attendance also submitted separately. After submitting everything we were taken back to the hostel by an instructor. Matron checks body temperature for the second time and takes us in.

The bubble life is similar to staying in a Jail with VIP facilities. Students have taken snacks and drinks when they come, so it is a little release. I have to spend 5 more days inside the hostel, limiting to my table.
