Opening Up My Wish List Box | 10% to SL-Charity

On 8th December 2020, I made this box with wishes to store my wish list for 2021. As the year is now finished I decided to take out my wish list and mark what I was able to achieve and what wasn't.

There were 6 cards that I wrote my dreams of the year. I am going to show you all 6 to you with my feedback.

1. Dream 1 : I want to have a job in a good company - Achieved

I achieved this goal in March buy joining to a company as a Software Engineer as my first job. I joined the job while I am at the University, because of that it was further special.

2. I want to do cooking by my self - Halfly Achieved

Actually the dreamt way is I wanted to live separately in a boarding place and do cooking for my self. But as I did WFH I couldn't do it. But still, I tried a number of recipes with my mother and brother during the past year.

3. I want to have a first class - Not Achieved

It is a big dream that I couldn't achieve. I had good results for the rest of the semesters but I had one unfortunate C- for the Hardware group project in the first year. I lost 0.0x amount for a first-class but it is pretty okay to me :) I ended up with a Second Upper.

4. I want to give good gifts to amma and thaththa - Achieved

Until this year, I took money from my parents for all my expenses. But in this year things turned otherside, with the good salary that I had, I was able to spend money for my parent's needs. Also, I was able to spend money for renovations of my house, building our new house as well as some for my brother's expenses. I am proud of my self.

5. I want to gift a phone to my BF - Not Achieved

I couldn't make this target. Actually we went to buy a phone but instead of that, he said he prefers a notebook so we ended up with two zenbooks.

6. Helping a family with my own earnings - Achieved

It was a big dream of mine and also my boyfriend that to help a family with our own money. Thankful to @rasinkani I bonded with a family with 6 school children who has an extremely low monthly income. Since April I am sending money every month to them as I can. I am eagerly waiting to increase the amount as soon as I get an increment. Similarly I was able to treat multiple families with food during this difficult time by joining with my brother, mother, father, and boyfriend. After turning back I am very satisfied with my year.

Even though the pandemic hits us a lot, this is one of the best years of my life.
