Jungle Beach Rumassala

Jungle beach is a bay which is surrounded by a forest which is situated in Rumassala area in Galle district. Rumassala is a little hill area. We can see the jungle beach from the Galle Dutch fort and also from the Galle town and Galle-Matara road. This beach is popular for swimming and sunbathing. In holidays we can see many foreign and local visitors who comes to this beach to spend their time leisurely. It is a very beautiful area which attracts anyone’s mind. And the blue and green color of the sea makes us fall in love with it. The sound and the rhythm of the waves makes us want to jump into the water and play around.

My first time of vising this beach was for a beach clean-up campaign. We couldn’t play around or take bath that day. So, Imantha and I went there again. I always fall in love with sea. It’s like a charm. Then I have visited there with my friends also.

There is a temple near the beach. This temple has built using to Japanese architectures. It is also called “Japanese Peace Temple ”. People who visit the jungle beach does not forget to visit this temple also.

To go to the jungle beach there are two ways. I also found that later that there are two paths. Anyone who travels from Galle-Matara direction or Matara-Galle direction will have to take a turn from Dewata to Rumassala. In the middle of the hill there is a one path to reach the beach. If we pass that road and go ahead. We can see the temple and beside the temple there is another path to the jungle beach^map. When we walk to beach in this road, we can see the sea from the hill. And there is a ship that is trumbled-down.

This place is very nice to spend a holiday with swimming and sun bath🥰.
