Steem Sri Lanka 3G contest series| week 02| A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed | 5% for SL Charity

Firs of all, thank you @supunchandra for organizing this contest. It is a really great contest that everyone can share about people they love the people who stays by their side always.

There are many friends I want to talk about. But this is about one friend. So I’m going to select my very first best friend at the school. As she is important to me, there is another friend who is so important in my life. Even if I don’t write about her. She knows the place she has in my heart.

It was first day of our grade 7 when I met her. I didn’t have a friend in new class and there was space besides her. I asked from her and sat there. At that time I never thought that she will become my best friend forever. She is Noreka. We call her “akki” because she acts like our big sister 😄. Little by little we became closer and friends. As I think it is because I got her in the time that I needed a friend most, we bound to each other very tight .We sat next to each other for 5 years. Until we sat for O/L exam.

After that we choose different paths in our lives. So we were separated into two classes. Even then I went to visit her or she comes to find me whenever we have free time, in the morning or in our interval. I cannot remember a moment that we were sad when we are together. It was filled with laughter and joy. She was someone who understand me and always we know what we have in our mind with a single glimp 😁.

_{After 5 Years}

Even after we finished school, I went to university and she is learning to be a teacher at “Vidya peetaya” our friendship never faded away. After exams I didn’t see her about 5 years… but the moment we met again it was like old days.. nothing has changed. What I love about her is, she never complains about not contacting her.. so am I. sometimes I call her after two or three months and chat for hours as it was yesterday we talked with each other for the last time.

_{As a trainee to become a teacher}

I haven’t seen her for a year now but it is same as always. Our friendship will be the same as always 💖.
