@Kalana and I had a tough week and therefore we were really looking forward to a fun weekend to relax. Instead of going to Matara like we planned, we decided to go to Galle fort.
Our first stop was Navi Food Cafe in Galle Fort, where I had some delicious soup.
After that, we walked around the old fort and took pictures of the beautiful views. Even though it wasn't peak tourist season, there were still lots of people around, including tourists interested in the fort's history.
For lunch, we went to Daiya Restaurant Galle with some of Kalana's friends. We had a great time chatting and enjoying tasty food together.
We ordered a mix rice and kottu shovel, and it was my first shovel experience. It was 3500/= and really worth the price. But it was too much for four people and taste was superb.
Spending time with friends and making memories is really special, no matter what's going on. Our weekend in Galle was just what we needed after a busy week, and it left us feeling happy and ready for the next week.
It's not always about going to fancy places; sometimes, it's the simple moments with friends that stick with us the most. And in Galle, we had plenty of those moments to treasure forever.
A kottu shovel for 3500 is really a reasonable price. Should try out that place.
