Life is so wonderful. Unexpected things happen in a moment. When those we love are separated from us, we have to live with those we do not like. No matter how much we cry or how sad we are, our loved ones will be separated from us one day.

Today is my father's birthday. Despite the loss of my father, we did all we could for the last few years. I had a strong desire to do something with my first salary in my first job. That's why I thought of distributing some food parcels to a few people living on the street. After talking to my mom about it, I bought everything I needed.

So today is the day I have been waiting for many days. I assisted my mother in preparing breakfast. Our menu consisted of dhal, soya meat, green leaves, banana blossom , and pineapple. These days, we cook on a kerosene stove because of the gas shortage. So it takes a little longer than usual. We started in the morning, so we were able to finish cooking by about 10 a.m. After offering the Buddha Pooja, we were able to prepare several rice parcels.

Kalana joined me in this work. Our destination was Galle. It was not a beautiful sight to behold along the way. Petrol and diesel queues were everywhere. The tired faces of the people displayed their pain well. So throughout the whole journey , we talked about the sad situation that everyone is in at the moment.

When I was going to the exam last week, I saw a lot of people on the street asking for money and food at the bus stop as well. That's why I wanted to do this. As a result, we were able to deliver all of the packets we had brought in a short period of time. These days, it is not possible to buy a rice parcel for even 200 rupees. So I think those rice parcels that I made with great enthusiasm are worth a lot to them.
