With the new year just around the corner, many schools, including ours, are planning celebrations. Our school also decided to organise a kids' fair to raise the necessary funds for the celebration.
The children's fair is a highlight, and the little ones participate with great excitement, supported by their parents. They bring various items like vegetables, fruits, pickles, soaps, and incense sticks, all of which are easily available. The best part is that everything is free of harmful chemicals, ensuring a safe shopping experience for everyone. I also got a good chance to buy some fresh vegetables and fruits, but my problem was carrying them home.
The fair lasted for about an hour, and at the end, a portion of the proceeds was set aside for the New Year celebration, while the rest was deposited into the children's savings accounts. Representatives from the banks visit the school after each fair to deposit the remaining money, helping the children save without much effort.
This initiative not only raises funds for school activities but also teaches children the value of saving money. It's a win-win for everyone involved, making the school a place where learning goes beyond textbooks. However, in the end, we were able to make the event more successful.
This recalled of my childhood. When I had a fair my mom/ father bought things from shops for me and I sold them to school teachers for cheapest prices! 😅 poor seller.
