Bangladesh Makes History... | 5% for SL Charity

We all know Bangladesh National Cricket Team is making a lot of progress in the past few years. Even they were ahead of Sri Lanka in rankings. And recently, they achieved a huge milestone by a one test match win.

These days, test cricket is all we can talk about. Ashes series is going on. India beat South Africa in their own soil and headed to a series win. And in the interim.. Bangladesh is touring in New Zealand. The 1st test match was where this happened.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bowl. And New Zealand was all out for 328. Devon Conway scored a brilliant hundred (122) and Henry Nicolls scored 75 batting with tail-enders.

And when Bangladesh started, all things got tense. I thought Bangladesh will be all-out for.. 200 maximum. Because I knew how well New Zealand bowlers bowled against Pakistan, England, etc.. It was hostile. They bowled really well in those matches. Even in this match.. but Bangladesh batters were even better..

Bangladesh ended up scoring 458 for their 1st innings. Captain Mominul Haque, Najmul Hussain, and Liton Das scored brilliant fifties but they were unable to convert them into Hundreds. Because of those innings, Bangladesh was able to get a lead of 130.

And New Zealand came to bat.. And Bangladesh bowlers were on fire.. I mean, New Zealand bowlers didn't bowl that well. But Bangladesh bowlers did.. Only Will Young and Ross Taylor were successful. Others were unable to do that because of a bowler from Bangladesh Air Force, Ebadot Hussain. He got 6 wickets for just 46 runs bowling out New Zealand for 169 runs..

Not only that.. it's the 2nd best bowling figure by a Bangladesh bowler in test cricket. Since New Zealand scored only 169 runs Bangladesh needed only 40 runs to win.. And they got in losing only 2 wickets.

This test match win is not a normal one because of a few reasons..

And there are many more.. It was a historical day for Bangladesh. They were very happy, especially Ebadot Hussain. Bangladesh won the match because of him. And you know, New Zealand is the defending champion of the test championship.. That's another thing..

There's another test match to go. Let's see whether Bangladesh could win it or draw it and win the first-ever tour against New Zealand..
