There are so many stories that go with aliens. In most of them, there are many aliens and the story most probably goes with an alien invasion. And some stories go with a single alien and most of the time those stories end up being superheroes or comedies. SRC

"Resident Alien" is a SYFY Original TV Series and it goes around a single alien. It's based on a comic book series and these days, it's being renewed for 2nd season..

Talking about the story..

The story goes around this alien who was planning to come to Earth and accidentally crashes onto Earth where he wasn't planning to land. The alien survives the crash. The spaceship was crashed in a mountain range where glaciers are. So, the spaceship is safely hidden there.

So this Alien can take the shape of other humans. After the crash, he approaches a home situated nearby a lake where the doctor of the Local Medical Center lives. The alien kills him and takes his appearance.

And yet he doesn't know that he has to act as a doctor. He doesn't even know how to behave as a human. He watches "Law & Order" TV Show and improves his English. Asta, the assistant at the Local Medical Center kinda help to get to know people.

In the interim, he finds out that some humans can see his true appearance. The children of The Mayor, Max can see so. So he determines to kill him but the efforts he makes to kill Max create a lot of entertainment for the viewers..

But the shocking thing is why he came to Earth? Actually, he had come to Earth to destroy the human race. But the thing is, he had lost a device when crashing takes place. At first, he tells people about this but no one believes him, and all laugh at him.

Anyway, his mission to find the missing device and destroy humanity continues amidst of emotional connections he made with people around him.. If you wanna whether he's successful or not..better watch the series.

Talking about my experience..

I had a great time with the 1st season. It was funny and alive. And it wasn't boring. Something happens in every episode and it's not that predictive too. I didn't watch the 2nd season. I want to watch all the episodes at once.

Talking about the ratings..

People were waiting for the 2nd season of this series and I'm also one of them. The show did really well. I really enjoyed it and so did others. So the ratings are really good.. The plot is also interesting. So for sure, I have to reluctance to recommend the series to you guys..
