Yesterday I started my day from our village temple. Happy to say, my home is situated near the village temple. So temple is very closer to us not only from the distance we have to go but also from the mind since we are in small. We often hear the sound of bo leaves in the temple. When we leave home for a walk, the first thing we see is the dagaba in the temple. I think I am very lucky to live in here.

Yesterday morning alms was given at the temple from our house. So we went to the temple with our alms morning and eventhogh it was a Sunday, Damma school students also had came to the temple. I think our chief monk has assigned work to them before starting academic works. I remembered the time I went to the Damma school. How beautiful that time? Lot of things have changed today.

First of all, we offered the first part of the alms we prepared for the Lord Buddha. A small Monk of the temple preached to us. In the past, most of the alms were prepared by our grandma. Her cooking is perfect and also amazing. Small Monk reminded our grandma while the preaching.

After doing all the things, I walked around the temple. Previous day night There was a thunderstorm. So the clay lamps were getting wet so much. The sand in the bo courtyard felt very tight to the feet. But the morning sunshine coming through the bo leaves added a strange refreshment to me.

I have told you before Titi and Tutu. Yesterday was not my day. Because the little kids who came to Damma school were petting Titi and Tutu. I did not go to disturb them. But I had not told you before about the proud man in the temple. That's this cat. He is very proud. He is often the one who is entitled to the alms that we offer to the Buddha.

There are several Na trees in our temple. They have spread in a considerable area. There are a cool conditions under those trees. There were lot of Na flowers had bloomed on that trees. Na is the national tree in my motherland Sri Lanka. Na tree deserved it. Because it has a prosperous outlook as suitable for a national tree.

l think everyone can get good refreshment from their religion for their lives. With the development of the society, people have become working machines automatically. Nowadays people can be known as Technical people. But people are not working machines. People should spend a balanced life and they should also be inclined towards religion.
