In such cases, be calm and examine the situation. When you are frightened your judgement becomes worse and the situation worsens. Sitting at a safe distance, begin to analyze the circumstances at hand. Do not rush to get near the robbery area since your safety is the most important factor.

Then immediately contact the authorities at 119 or your nearest police station. Provide the authorities with all of the information you gathered, such as the location of the robbery, the number of suspects, and whether they are armed. Be careful if the thief is near your room, garden, or kitchen.

Never try to face them and capture the thief alone, because they are always armed and dangerous. Your primary goal should be your safety. Allow police enforcement to handle the situation.

If you are inside the room or residence, make sure to lock them to prevent them from entering. It is essential not to touch anything the robbers may have touched, as this might be valuable evidence for the police.

Until the police arrive, remember all you know about the suspects or robbers, including their looks, any unique characteristics, and where they could be hiding. If you discover any other witnesses, ask them to stay and provide information to the police.

When the police arrive, offer them your entire support so that they may carry out their duties. Provide them with all of the information you have acquired, and carefully follow their instructions. They'll take statements, gather evidence, and start their investigation.
