I took the picture outside Victoria Park.

The Victoria Memorial is a large marble monument in central Kolkata, built by the British Raj between 1906 and 1921. It was built in memory of Queen Victoria, the Empress of India from 1876 to 1901. The plan had been in place since before Victoria died in 1901.

While addressing a group at the Asiatic Society, she admitted that she had always planned to build such a historical museum and that the Queen's death provided a fitting opportunity to commemorate the Empire.

It is at the back of Victoria Park.

After Victoria's death on 22 January 1901, she wrote to Lord George Hamilton, noting the importance of Victoria's matriarchy in promoting a spirit of loyalty. She proposed the construction of a large building with a museum and gardens. The central dome of the memorial is surmounted by a 16-foot (4.9 m) tall statue of Vijayadut, sculpted by Ash, surrounded by allegorical sculptures depicting the themes of art, architecture, justice, and charity, and the north verandah depicts motherhood, prudence, and education.

Some scenes inside the hall, which is made of Marb stone walls.

The Victoria Memorial has 25 galleries and includes the Royal, National Leaders', Portrait Gallery, Central Hall, Sculpture Gallery, Arms and Armoury Gallery, and the new, Calcutta Gallery. The Calcutta Gallery also houses a visual exhibition of the history and development of Calcutta when the capital of India was shifted to New Delhi.

The gardens of the Victoria Memorial are spread over an area of about 64 acres and are maintained by a team of 21 gardeners. On the Esk Bridge, in the middle of the descriptive panel of Goscombe John, there is a bronze statue of Victoria made by George Frampton, with the Empress Victoria sitting on her throne.

The lives of people and the movements of kings during the British period

There is also a museum inside and the museum has some memories of the past British colonial and East India Company trading period. The life of the people and the way of life of the people at that time are all proven in this picture.

Victoria Park construction plan and step-by-step photos

In addition, the museum shows the time and step-by-step pictures of how this memorial was planned and built. This is another aspect of our attraction. It took almost a few years to build it and the perfect plan of work can be really appreciated in this hall.

The golden light of Victoria Park at dusk spreads throughout the hall.

At night, the golden lighting in every place and inside the building makes it more beautiful, after dusk it makes it more beautiful and bright, and there are lampposts in the street which also illuminate the beautiful street lighting.
