Take Care of Your Hygiene - A reminder

It's been a long time I haven't shared any post in Steem srilanka. I was thinking what should I share then it came to my mind I should share some of the simple tips of hygiene because it's important. Mostly all people know how to take a good care of their hygiene but in this busy schedule we forgot to pay little attention to it sometimes. It's just a reminder for the reader.

How can we take a good care of our hygiene?

• It has to start by keeping the self-cares at least twice a day. This means washing your face, brushing your teeth and wiping them after meal if you are eating with utensils.

• The way how we keep ourselves clean is because of the water, so it has to be clean too. Our tap water is treated and safe to use for personal hygiene, but it is a must to filter your shower water because sometimes the asbestos from old pipes could get in.

• Always be aware of your surroundings and take a good look at the facilities that you use such as, buses and other mass transportations. If you see any signs of dirtiness there, think twice before touching them because they could spread diseases through their germs. Additionally, you can protect yourself by washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol after.

• You have to take a good care of your pocket money too, especially when it comes to food hygiene. Make sure that the place where you buy food is clean and has no signs of dirtiness on it. If you don’t trust the place, buy food from another shop or stall.

• When you get home after a long day’s work and you feel too tired to eat, at least drink lots of water and follow it with taking a bath. Give the gift of cleanliness to your body by doing this before going to sleep.

• If you bathe without soap or shower gel, make sure you wash yourself with shampoo twice a week at least. In case of dry skin, apply baby oil all over before going to sleep.

• When you brush your teeth, look at the label of your toothpaste to see if it contains fluoride. Fluoride is proven for its fighting effects against germs in the mouth and gums, preventing dental caries - cavities.

• Using sanitizers are good because they kill germs on your hands, but you have to be sure that they work. If it doesn’t smell good or sting on your palms, don’t use them anymore. Use alcohol instead of sanitizers because they are just the same in killing germs and stinging. While using alcohols though, make sure you wipe your hands dry afterwards because it could lead to skin irritation. My father also made so many sanitizers in his chemistry lab last year as an activity. I misplaced the photographs sadly.
