Worshiping Shri-Paadha 2021

Hello to all my friends in this wonderful community.Hope you all are fine.So this time I'm going to write an article on worshiping Sri-Paadha 2021.

On 17th December we planned to worship Shri-Padha.There were 25 in our group to worship Shri-Paadha including me.So we planned to travel by train.First of all we thought of traveling to Hatton in night mail train that arrived to Bandarawela at 7:20 p.m.But as the current situation of our country night mail trains are not working these days.So as that we changed our plan and we planned to travel through 10:20 a.m. Podimanike train.

As there were 25 travelers it is hard to find good meals near Nallathanniya.So for that we choose to prepare our meals from home as that is healthy and safety.I can remember when we are traveling to Sri-Paadha in 2019,one of our member brought horese gram curry,everyone had that curry for there meal,after that some has to spent R.S.30 for washrooms.I can remember my friend Nalaka use washroom more than 10 times😀.

As we had previous memories this time we decided to prepare milk rice and rotti with onion sambol,pol sambol,chillipaste and also with spicy lunumiris.

Everybody arrived at 10:00 a.m. to Bandarawela railway station.We got 2nd class tickets as there were tickets available and it is comfortable to travel.One ticket from Bandarawela-Hatton costs R.S.180.So 10:10 a.m. train arrived.So now we are traveling to Hatton in upcountry railway road.Everyone knows the beauty of this railway road.

So at about 2:00 p.m. we arrived to Hatton railway station.We thought of having our lunch in Hatton.But the place that we normally used to eat was not cleaned yet.So there was a bus to Nallathanniya.We decided to take our lunch in Nallathanniya and we get in to the bus.So the bus starts at 2:30 p.m.At about 4:00 p.m. we arrived to Nallathanniya.

There was a big hotel that was named as සමන් හොටෙල්,so we had our lunch there.At about 5:30 p.m. we start to climb Shri-Paadha.As there were 25 members including me climbing up was not lazy.

There was a little rain at about 8:00 p.m.So we moved fastly untill we met රතු අම්බලම.At about 8:30 p.m. we arrived to රතු අම්බලම where also සීතගගුල situated.We had a bath and changed our clothes to fresh ones.The rain turn in to a heavy rain.As that rain was heavy we decided to had a liitle nap untill the rain stops.

At about 12:30 a.m. rain stops.So we starts to walk again.As it rained,it was so cold and lot of places were covered with mist.There were no shops opened yet.As there were no shops from සීතගගුල to ඉදිකටුපාන.We finally find a shop near මහගිරිදබේ.We had a coffee over there and spent half and hour in that shop.We start to climb මහගිරිදබේ at 3:00 a.m.

So at about 4:30 a.m. we arrived to the top of
Sri-Paadha.It was so cold at that time.And there were lot of people.

The securities didn't allow us to stay that much longer in there.So we start to climb down at about 5:45 a.m.As we need to go to 12 p.m. train to Bandarawela.

We met lot of people while we are climbing down.Still the climate was so cold.

Can you imagine how strong this man could be to climb up 6000 steps by carrying a gas cylinder from bottom to the top of Shri-padha.Hats off to this guy.

So we arrived to Nallathanniya at about 9:00 a.m.We had our breakfast from the සමන් හොටෙල් and We bought some sweets and we got in to bus at 9:30 a.m.

We arrived to Hatton station at 11:30 a.m.At about 12:15 p.m. train arrived to the station.So 4:30 p.m. we arrived to Bandarawela.So as that we conclude our Shri-Paadha worship this year.

Only for the pictures we removed our masks.If you are going to shri-paadha remember to take your vaccination card with you.Please don't leave any of the garbage and masks you carry.Please protect the nature.
