I played my last tennis match with a great Spanish friend "Arturo Minana." Today was his last day in Uganda. He requested that we have a tennis match together. He has always been so hard for me to win against since he is a very good and tough tennis player and coach.
He has been working in Uganda as a PE teacher for one of the international schools in Uganda. "Kampala International School." He likes his country "Spain." It was time for him to leave and go back to his nation.
Out of the 4 times I have played with him I only have 1 win and 1 draw against him. He liked my game play and at some point he mentioned that to me. " Yohan I like your game play." He kept on advising me to risk more on my forehand. Many times I am so hesitant hitting those tennis balls on the forehand especially during the match situation.
I have always lacked confidence hitting hard shots on my forehand. He has always capitalized on my weak side "Forehand" to win against me.
On the other hand Arturo has a very good powerful forehand which is his weapon in the game situation. Every time I play the ball on his forehand, he plays a very hard passing shot that gets me off the court giving him an advantage of making run on the court by playing the ball on an empty court. 😩
This last match I have played with him we ended up in a draw. It was a very tight one. I took the first set on scores 6/2 then he took the second 4/6. We proceeded for the final set that ended on scores 2-2 due to the lack of time to finish the match. Our time was done.
Other players needed to take over the court and that's how we ended up in a draw otherwise there are no draws in Tennis. The moment you step on the court, there must be a winner and loser at the end of the day.
