independent blacklists.

DERP-1801 just showed up one day and started posting TA
(technical analysis) on 2017-07-11 as "haejin."
The quality and frequency of the TA posts presented as
anomalous, but engagement initially seemed genuine.
These TA posts typically contained a paragraph or two
about the featured trading pair, along with a youtube
video, presumably by haejin himself, as well as a chart
showing predictions.
Initially, DERP-1801 would broadcast multiple posts per
day, but not typically more than 4 per day, occasionally
spiking 7 posts per day.
But as time went on, it would settle on 10 or 20 posts
per day.
The TA posts slowly began to start earning more and more
payouts in November of 2017, primarily due to bidbots
like "bellyrub" followed by curation sniping behavior.
A few months after the creation of the "haejin" account
(and over 1,670 posts later), on 2017-12-09,
"ranchorelaxo" began occasionally voting for posts by
haejin.
Votes from ranchorelaxo became consistent on 2017-12-30
and as result, the haejin account was earning sizable
portion of the daily reward pool, which got the attention
of the blockchain at large.
On 2018-02-21, DERP-1801 began to face real opposition,
but it wasn't enough to maintain full containment.
A second wave of opposition was generated on 2018-05-02
and 2018-05-06, but these were also short-lived.
After many waves, it was obvious that there wasn't enough
focused, sustainable opposition. An EIP was drafted,
partially inspired by the behavior of DERP-1801.
It also began to settle on about 10 posts per day.
Since there was little real opposition, prior to the EIP,
the quality of the TA posts were constantly diminishing,
to the point where individual graphs were completely
illegible, and yet, ranchorelaxo continued to provide
upvote support.
By the end, the TA posts contained nothing more than
fuzzy charts with zero commentary at all.
Full containment was not achieved until 2019-08-29, three
days after the hardfork. Between 2017-07-11 and
2019-08-29, haejin had created 7,101 TA posts.
Containment was primarily attributed to the EIP
implementation of HF21.
Excerpt of final words from DERP-1801 (as haejin):
> My posting & voting bots are turned off. It is time.
>
> They were purely designed and well aimed to push the
> "buttons" of the trolls. These bots are no longer
> needed because the parameters of the new Steem now
> enables revitalization of everyone's original and good
> intent. Still, the downvote drama and caca throwing
> that took place was at the very least...evolutionatrily
> entertaining to some degree. LOL!

Woah! I didn't know all that! Holy Cow, that is a lot of posts.
Seems like things are coming along nicely of here on the DERP network. The style was a nice change of pace.
Cool @inertia, very cool.
