nce Upon a time, there lived a man in his early 20s. This is a sentence I'm mostly baffled by when reading a story book. I tend to get inspiration from reading people's past and present lives. In primary school, we were taught past, present, and continuous tenses. You'll live in the future, forget your present, and remember your past.

It's the time traveller. You travel in your mind, as it is almost impossible to travel physically. If this were possible, do you know a lot of changes and chaos that would have been done?

I always wish I could travel back to my past, turn the hands of time, correct my wrongs, and accept some life changing opportunities I missed. I also wish I could travel to the future to see how it would be, so I'll know when I'll be dead, what will kill me, and how I can avoid such in the present. For the purpose of this contest, I'll be using pictures to make this time of travelling possible.........

I just got reminded of a movie I watched named Harry Potter where there's a time-travelling machine that helps one travel to his past and future. You can go centuries ahead and centuries back. My use of pictures would be to recreate the essence of this topic. Let's assume this is our time-travelling machine. I want you to follow through and picture your mind for what I'm going to say and do.

The Machine

I'm a time-travelling machine. I can take you to your past, present, and future. You only have to use me three times, which would require a lot of good decisions from you so as not to waste the three chances. This is the machine talking. It has criteria, and these are:

• I can only take you back to the 20s and 50s. I can't take you beyond that. I can also take you to the next century, but I won't go beyond.

• You won't be seen at the time you're travelling, but you can undo things except death. Whatever you undo will reflect in the present.

• You have 8 hours to spend during the time you're travelling. You can't live in the past or in the future. You only make some changes in the past, which would reflect in the present, and you also see things in the future and make informed decisions. You can't live in any of these times.

Ohkay..... So what I want you to do for me now is stare at the clock and imagine you're not in the present but in the past. I want the time traveler machine to take me to 2010. Something bad happened here, and it's because of this thing, I'm affected physically and mentally.

2010

2010: This was the year I was in early childhood. I've had soft edges. The onions, the cucumbers, the milk, and the honey Oh, I miss them. Back then, I usually enjoyed the soft life. My dad will always return home with lots of goodies for us, and when he comes to get us from school, he'll take us out to an eatery to spend time before bringing us back home. I miss my childhood days. I wish I could enjoy this life once more.

This is why I'm travelling to this time to make sure I enjoyed my childhood very well before living up to the present. One thing I'd love to change is the trials my family faced during childhood. My neighbours tried everything possible to kill me when I was still young because they envied my kind of person. I was the most intelligent and handsome person in the neighborhood.

Most times, they'll endanger my clothes with their charms but it's only God who has protected me from such subtle attacks. My travels at this time are to see all they used to do in private and expose them to the authorities so they can face the law.

2015

In early 2015, I had the opportunity to leave the country for a talent show, which I rejected because of a lack of money to purchase the form. Going back to this time will help me change these settings and get back the form I declined.

This opportunity would have taken me places, but due to a lack of funds, I missed out. Now I'm back to this time, and I've made some corrections. So if I go to the present, I'll be affected by the change from my past.

2016

In 2016, I was victimised, abused, and ridiculed because of my introverted nature. People did look down on me, making me feel like nobody. There was a time when my friend was beaten in front of me, and I couldn't just do anything. Another instance was when I reported a case of cheating in a test hall.

Everyone denied making me look like a fool without proof, and the ruling got the vote. I was severely flogged for lying. All my peers ridiculed me. This was the exact opposite. Going back to this time will serve as a correction to make me stronger and wiser.

All the ridicule would cease, and what happened in the test hall would be exposed with evidence. My going back would be to change my introverted life so I wouldn't be looked down on.

Going into the future, I want to know when I'll die and what will kill me. I'll also want to know if I'll be suffering from an illness then or if I'll marry at all. My travels would be to 2032 to see if things would go well for me socially and physically.

I would want to see if corruption will ever end in Nigeria and that bad governance will be put to an end by God's kingdom. I'll also learn these things and try as much as possible to either pursue or avoid things that would lead to them.

Ohkay, the time traveler said I could only use it three times. So I'll pick two major aspects of my life in the past and change them, and then proceed with the future. I invite @mvchavin, @dove11 and @ahsansharif
