Dear friends of @knack4buzz let me introduce you to my time watch. It may seem sophisticated, but it's actually very simple to use. Just set the year, and you'll be transported on a time-traveling journey where you can relive the historical moments that fascinate you most. However, remember to set the return time, or you won't be able to come back to our era. Are you ready? Let's go, I've set the year to 1960 for you.

I've chosen to take you back to the '60s, a decade I consider crucial because it marked a turning point in the history of our society.

This decade was characterized by a period of extraordinary change, innovation, and an unprecedented cultural boom. The energy of those years, fueled by various social movements fighting for civil rights, the sexual revolution, the emergence of new fashions, and music that defined entire generations, continues to deeply fascinate me.

This era saw the rise of figures like Martin Luther King Jr., who led the fight for racial equality in the United States. Additionally, the second wave of feminism, with works like Betty Friedan's "The Feminine Mystique," challenged traditional gender roles and promoted greater freedom for women.

Reliving those moments, fully immersing myself in that cultural and social fervor, and actively participating in the civil rights and anti-war movements excite me about this journey. Hearing live speeches from leaders like Martin Luther King and John Lennon and experiencing the music of artists like the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, who not only defined a new way of living but also of thinking. The music of the '60s was revolutionary, with the introduction of new genres like psychedelic music, and concerts like Woodstock in 1969 became iconic events.

I would have embraced the style and fashion of those years, with its miniskirts, bell-bottom pants, and tight-fitting clothes in vibrant, psychedelic colors, a testament to the strong desire for change. Breathing in that air of freedom and creativity made the '60s such a special era. Fashion, influenced by designers like Mary Quant, redefined the way young generations dressed, reflecting a desire to break away from the conventions of the past.

What would I bring back from that era to today's world?

Without a doubt, the idea that change is possible when people unite for a common goal remains fundamental.

Today, with advanced technologies at our disposal, we have incredible tools to communicate and organize on a scale never seen before, but we often lack the passion and energy that characterized the '60s. What is our dream, a better world? On which fronts are we truly making progress? We've come this far with so much evolution, but I have the sense that, in some ways, we are moving backward.

However, I am convinced that the digital revolution we are experiencing is still in its early stages, and we still have much to learn about how to harness it effectively. I hope that future generations will fully utilize its potential, bringing concrete and lasting benefits to society.

My concluding reflection on this time-travel journey is that, while aware that perfection is unattainable, my desire to explore and imagine a better world never fades.

Thanks to read @ibesso

This is definitely one of the best, most original time machines and travels I read. I love how your brain came up with this, it clearly thinks in a different direction.

How easily we forget about all those successes generations before we achieved and the benefits we have from it and take them for granted, complaining about how life stinks and the generation before us did everything wrong.

I don't put my faith in a better world if it comes to the average always bored youth without skills and experience but who knows when a new Jeanne d'Arc arises or Luther is willing to fight for a better place while being praised and next put on the stakes. A good example of how short our memory is. To most bad memories are gone right after the 'I am so shocked' event. It's what c19 taught... Back to normal and all promises made are forgotten just like the fight for justice.

I would go back as well but way more back. I never liked the Beatles or understood groupies. Life is always a struggle but I need more nature and music that fills the soul. All those fights for justice... 60 years later... What did we achieve? Not enough flower power, unfortunately.

Happiness 🥰

Thank you @wakeupkitty for the wonderful comment you left on my post; I must admit, I've never received such a reflective and profound contribution, except from you. I truly appreciate your ability to grasp the complexity of the topic I addressed; the fact that we are discussing it already represents a small success. It may not go viral, but at least we have shared meaningful ideas that deserve to be explored.

I also love the musical contribution you suggested. The music you pointed out is full of energy and vitality. Their fusion of Celtic folk sounds with captivating rhythms creates an irresistible atmosphere, and every time I listen to it, it's impossible not to give in to the rhythm and start dancing.

After I read you and looked for the links I liked sharing with you I lost time and that without time machine.. I intended to leave it all behind for you but that list would be long and you might felt bored or hate me for it so I decided to only share those two (links copied do not come with a name) and make a post out of it... next, I was distracted again (of course) quick always takes a long with me and I was stuck in another hive... Unfortunately, time doesn't pass by slowly and I am still working on a post that should have been posted hours ago (talking to people is distracting, I don't talk but type and my fingers hurt terribly. I believe in catching up on all those things (not much at all) I better stay awake tonight. It must be a Steemit thing, not sleeping I mean. Perhaps I can do so in the sun?

Did the time machine watch deliver you back or did you forget to set the time?
♥️

Those links gave me the right energy to continue my journey. The watch warned me that I was in danger, but I couldn't resist that flute; it reminded me of Jethro Tull and the times when freedom of thought was a dogma pursued by everyone because it evolved the spirit of those who followed it. You are a very strong woman, your fingers are practically bionic now. You have a talent that surpasses all expectations; you write masterfully, without even needing to think about what you're writing, because it’s a continuous flow between your brain and your fingers. I admire you for what you do. Thank you for the help and the energy you give to everyone who, like me, believes that words can still change the world.
❤️

It is indeed hard to resist and makes one stop...
If on the streets I forget the world.

What if the flow stops? I hope by then you have enough energy to go on. You deny it but you are creative in many ways and you should break a bit free and fly a bit higher and use all those skills you are gifted with in your way.

There are way more here but with chains it's hard to feel and go with the inner flow. There are so many aspects that can and should be highlighted and we all should do it our way not try to copy or compare with others.

A great day to you!

Certain things in the 60s people wish if time travel, the will get things fixed the right way. But then, the past had already long gone. So I think we should focus more on the presence as you also relate here.

Thank you, my friend. Knowing the past can help us improve the present. Have a great day!

I have read your entire post you want to go back to the 60's and the things you mentioned are amazing as in those days there were no modern societies and music was introduced of course. There was music before but this kind of music is an invention of 60s and besides the socio-political points you have shared are also worth reading and understanding.Totally agree with your analysis regarding the development in fashion, your post is very informative and interesting.

Thank you for reading my post and for your thoughtful comment. I’m glad you found my analysis of the 60s interesting, both in terms of the revolutionary music of the era and the socio-political and fashion changes.

I love that genius watch!

I love those who love that watch.

Thank you, I’d like to experience a bit of that genuine desire for change and the fight against stereotypes that characterized that period.

Hi @ibesso, I completely agree that the spirit of unity and the pursuit of a common goal are essential for driving meaningful change. It’s fascinating to think about how far we’ve come with technology, yet it’s true that sometimes we feel a disconnect from the passion that fueled movements in the past.

Thank you, @user! I’m really glad to share positive and progressive thoughts with you on these crucial topics. I have the feeling that there is a deliberate intention from powerful forces to keep this situation of misinformation ongoing, and even to intensify it, so they can maintain an advantage. By exploiting our dependence on technology and the lack of critical awareness, they manage to stay ahead. It’s essential that we don’t let ourselves be overwhelmed and instead use technology consciously to avoid falling into these traps and to promote positive change.

Thanks and happy Pixels Flowers power!

I totally buy to your sentiment that the past has it unique way that if time travel back, we can relate with it again. However, We shouldn't let our past override our present.

Thank you for your reflection, can we then say that we must learn from past experiences, but live fully in the present moment?

Life in the 1960s was momentous a dynamic blend of cultural revolution and social change, I love listening to my father telling me stories that were marked by the civil rights movement, psychedelic music, and a counterculture that challenged traditional norms. The decade fostered innovation in art, fashion, and political thought, shaping a generation committed to freedom and equality. You've indeed chosen a great era in history, but there's no going back, we can only learn from it, and live in the present which is a gift and hope for the future. Success!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are truly fortunate to have a father who passes on those ideals of the fight for human rights; this makes me believe that I have before me a person of great value. Let’s live in the present with respect for those who have left us a better world, and continue to fight to give our children a place where they can live better.

👋🌈

Thank you for the kind words. I agree that the men of the past seemed to embody great wisdom and values. Even though we are now in an advanced technological era, as you rightly said; it sometimes feels like we are more backward than they were.

A very interesting and nostalgic read! Also, thankyou for inviting me!☺️

Thank you for reading about my time travel journey!

🌈👋

Congratulations 🎉

Thank you, I’m glad it has sparked so much interest; that era was a great revolution.
