Hello friends

Am excited putting up my entry in this contest and community.

Beauty of Art

I love arts and am always intrigued whenever I see arts. Arts can be in different forms, drawings, craft and sculptures are all forms of art. Today I share with yours one beautiful sculptures I found amazing!

The sculpture above is an art I found in arts department of a school in the city of Lagos. The sculpture is an image of an African queen fully dressed for an occasion.

The sculpture reminds me of the woman power the women poses! A typical African woman is gifted with so much strength. She passes through difficult moments and comes out strong. She is a good wife, mother and a home builder.

The second sculpture is an image of an African druma. He is neatly dressed to play in an occasion invited not leaving behind his drum. His drum is not the English kind of drum, it is a local African drum which the English calls the talking drum.

The talking drum has a special place in our African culture. There is no ceremony that is traditional inclined you won't see the talking drum been played by these specialists.

Africa is rich in culture and it's all part of the beauty I display to you all.

The third sculpture you see is an image of a young African boy riding on a horse. In those days only the rich has the privilege of riding on a horse. Those who are not travel by foot.

For this young boy to be riding on a horse he must be from a very wealthy home. He is a dignitary. Am sure it's not a horse for war or battle else it will be decorated.

Now this is the last sculpture I have to show you. It is an image of two guys playing the game of basketball. Actually they are not professionals , they are only young men playing for fun. They enjoy each other's company through basket ball.

One of the guys jumps up , trying to put in the ball into the basket while the other guy tries to stop him.

All the 4 images or sculptures are beautiful isn't it? I was amazed myself when I saw them all as I visited a tertiary institution in the city of Lagos. I mean the art department of the school. I must say the students who made these sculptures are very talented.

The images inspired me so much, reminding me that each of us have something we are good at, all we need to do is discover our talent and develop it.

I would like to invite my friends to join this contest @lhorgic @okere-blessing @dave-hanny

Saludos...

You have shared the amazing photoshoot of ornaments which definitely have hidden inspirational history and seems to be fascinating. You are absolutely right art have beauty itself which defines the story of that thing. The last statue of man sitting on the hourse reflects beauty of it making. All the best wishes for exploring nature and amuse the beauty blessed to us by God.

You have a lot of love for statues. Natural beauty is found here. A statue of an African woman is seen in front. On another occasion, her statue was made and the power of a woman can also be estimated here. There is no doubt that nature has always been beautiful and beauty is loved by everyone, there is no doubt that many environments around us make us look beautiful.
