A Travel Back in Time... freedom

in hive-135004 •  5 months ago  (edited)

And? I ask my son, is it possible to travel through time? I read a part of the SEC entries about time traveling and we talked about it. I noticed there are more who want to travel back instead of joining Elon on Mars (mars is red, no chocolate bar and the average temp is -52 C so you can prepare for the Ice Age or visit Siberia and watch the Northern Light. )

If I could go back in time (I say back not forward I'm not interested in the future all the high tech gives me a headache plus it kills the brain) I want to go back to the Medietimestime. It feels more like home besides I believe there's something I have to finish.

Archeon - Alphen a/d Rijn (NL)

This is the best place to be. The theme park shows what life looked like in during different periods of history. At the time this park opened its doors, I was one of the first to visit it.

In the present world I feel like a stranger except for those moments I am with likeminded.
The best days of my life are when I am visiting Medieval Events. Here one can be without the woke nonsense among people who love nature, live outside, have something to share, and are not busy with their phones. They live and dress in the "old fashioned" way and there's an inner rest you will rarely meet if you live in the city or are among other people (schools and shops for example or theme parks).

This type of music calms my soul and it's full of energy. I love the sound of the instruments instead of all the electric ones used these days (AI, keyboards, electric guitars, violins, and so on). If I watch these people playing music together, the joy it brings them and everyone who comes to listen I wonder why this type of music is banned. For sure it is better for the soul and mind than most modern music that is repeated 24/7. The vocals might not always be perfect but what counts most is how they connect with another and those who try to pass by. I say try because if I hear this I can only stop and listen. The time seems to stop and whatever seemed to be important became part of the past.

Prima Nocta

Look at those instruments and the way they are dressed! How can one not stop and admire these musicians and long for a time when no one felt the need to rush and entertainment could be found on the streets, was a normal part of life?

What makes you think we have no culture? Why do you believe your music and instruments are so much better than ours? Why is it you call us, those who remember and long for those days, pagan? Who says your belief is better, stronger and so is the life you live? After hundreds of years, this lifestyle still exists. The clothes can be bought and there are several festivals per year. Seasonal events where the change of the season (we have 4) is celebrated.

OMNIA - Fee Ra Huri

The flute soothes the soul.. Just a pity the rest of the band doesn't dress up.

Under A Violet Moon

Clanadonia

Music is for the young and old. Who says you can't play or dance if you are older? Look at the energy expressed.

Vox Vulgaris - Rokatanc

Obscuratis

Yasmeen

She died in 2023

Strella do Dia

SolDans - Bayside Waltz

Don't forget to dance and sing! Before you know the good days are over. We already experienced that not too long ago.
Do you remember how artists and entertainers fought for freedom? Can you remember: Danser encore / Soigner encore à Rennes avec HK, Alee, Skyzophonik pour la défense du service public that song spreading faster than any virus can after being announced?

I think I would travel in time beyond the Mideve, the Paleolitic Era and its Celtic Druids.
I have always identified so much with the Viking version and with the English version where the Mago Merlin arises.
Updated versions of that type of music that comes out of the soul, where the author uses instruments very close to Earth to the natural help me with relaxation, enjoyment and meditation.

On this side of the Atlantic, I love the Quechua culture of the Peruvian Andes, their proximity to the stars and Mother Earth inspired them to create the bread or ocarina flute, which produce with the air of the lungs of the interpreter melodies that in what in what staff raise me.

In my country, a musical style called "Tonada" that also carries that touch arises in the Los Llanos, but in this case the singer uses his vocal and guttural inflections to improvise melodies from his soul.

An example of a singer who delights us with his tunes are in this link that I share.

I understand what you mean. Isn't it strange how certain times and music feel closer to our souls?
Perhaps we ended in the wrong timeline and there's no back only next...

Thanks for sharing. I love it.

I always listen to: In Extremo, Corvus Corax, The Inchtabokatables, Saltatio Mortis, Tanzwut, Subway to Sally,.... I really like listening to music inspired by the Middle Ages, albeit in a rocky guise ;-)) What would interest me: how do people nowadays know the step sequences and movements of medieval dances? They don't have much to do with our folkloristic dances and there are hardly any sources...

Reading about your journey into the Middle Ages gives me a sense of peace and calm. I have never attended a medieval festival, or perhaps I have, but it certainly wasn’t as inclusive, or maybe it was me who wasn’t ready to receive it. I believe that if I have the opportunity again, I will experience it with more awareness after reading your magnificent contribution. Thank you.
