My playful childhood

Childhood remains an integral part of every human being on Planet Earth. This period in an individual is very important because it’s the learning stage of an individual. Despite that continuous learning, plays or recreation cannot be omitted in a child’s life. With this, I wish to do a playback of my childhood with this article.

When I was a child, I lived in a neighborhood whereby children of the same peer group with mine were available. With that, we formed a clique of playmate which translates into friendship. My cousins, my siblings and I mixed with these newfound friends. The thing is my parents didn’t allow us to play during school sessions but we were given liberty to play in our compound during the holiday.

We developed a play which depicts family settings. The rule I the older boy is the father, older girl is he mother while other are children and relatives. With that, everyone mimicked the role played by their main counterpart. In the play, the father provides money to the family, the mother cooks while the children support the family.

During that play, we discovered our line of automobiles which we called motor. This automobile was a combination of stick, circular discs and nails to make a rollable object. That was how we started our Roll Royce company@@. Fortunately for me, I was able to gather the individual component of our so called automobiles. Permit to show you the processes.

Fist, I made sure that the disc and the stick are properly alignedPXL_20240825_154313388.jpg
Then, I made punctures in a pawpaw stalk which will help in joining the component partsPXL_20240825_154337697.PORTRAIT.jpg
Finally, I joined all components togetherPXL_20240825_154351729.PORTRAIT.jpg
Here is the final resultPXL_20240825_154515482.PORTRAIT.jpg

Back in the days, we as children had our way of measuring our wealth. The simple way is the amount of automobiles you possess. This is because the risks of taking a disc were high and we valued the one we had. If any disc at home got missing, we are held accountable. So, we avoided picking any disc at home rather thinking outside the box to bring more innovative ideas.

All the same, I’ll say that my childhood was nice and fun filled with plays of al type. I hope the Gen-Z has a taste of what we had rather than playing PES and mobile games all day.

We called that "vadertje (daddy) moedertje (mommy) and not necessary the eldest were the mom and dad plus we also changed roles since being a dad is way better than a mom.

I like how you show how to play the game using photos.

Your first photo made me laugh. Thanks for that. 🍀♥️

I like your content but don't understand final look of something you have made with disc.
Can you please tell what actually it is ?

"Ahaha what a blast from the past! 😊 I love how you took us on a journey through your childhood memories 🌴. Your creativity in making a rollable automobile out of sticks, discs, and nails is pure genius 🔧! I can almost imagine the fun times you had with your friends playing family roles and valuing your "wealth" in terms of cars 🚗.

Your post has got me reminiscing about my own childhood playtime 😊. What a wonderful way to spend one's youth - learning, creating, and having fun with friends!

Thanks for sharing this delightful article! 👏 I'm excited to see the Gen-Z experience the joy of playtime like you did 🌟.
