남들은 어떨지 모르지만, 자기 위로 혹은 위안을 위한 혼잣말을 하는 편이다.
'바쁘잖아.'
'힘들잖아.'
주로 핑계 댈 때 이런 혼잣말을 하는 편인 듯하다. '모리와 함께한 화요일'을 읽다가, Mitch가 Morrie 교수를 16년간 찾아뵙지 않았던 이유를 표현하는 단어로 'siren song'을 사용하였다. Mitch의 이야기를 통해, 그리스신화에 나오는 Siren의 목소리가 나에게도 들리고 있음을 알았다.
