Hello dear friends! Welcome to my post. How are you all? I hope you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this amazing contest organized by Steem Nations community. The topic of this contest is about "My Favorite Festival". So let's start the task without any more delay of time.
Which festivals are celebrated in your religion, village, city, local area or country? |
---|
Friends, as we all know that the festivals play a vital role in our lives as they provide us an opportunity to enjoy, spread happiness, having a feast and some great moments of togetherness. And these festivals can be found in different types including the religious, national festivals and the festivals organized by the people in a specific place like marriage ceremonies. But in my country Pakistan, all types of these festivals are celebrated by the people. So let's have a look at some famous festivals of my country:
- Eid Al Fitr
- Eid Al Adha
- Independence Day 14th August
- Basant festival
- Shandoor Polo Festival
- Horse And Cattle Show
Which is your favorite festival among all these festival and why? |
---|
Indeed, all these festivals holds a great significance in my life and also in the lives of other people because they are celebrated throughout the whole country. But the religious festivals like Eid Al Adha and Eid Al Fitr, they are celebrated by every Muslim living at any part of the world. Anyway, among all of these festivals, my favorite is Eid Al Adha because it one of the greatest festivals for Muslims. It is celebrated on 10th Zil Hajj in remembrance of sacrificial act of Hazrat Ibrahim.
The Eid Adha, gave us a lot of messages and nothing is important than the love for Allah Almighty is one of them, because Allah Almighty asked Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice his most beloved thing. But Hazrat Ismail was his son and he loved him very much, so in order to fulfill Allah's order, he was ready to sacrifice his son Ismail (peace be upon him). So, as soon as he stabbed his son's neck, Allah sent a lamb from heaven and his neck was cut.
So since then, the Muslims celebrate Eid Al Adha to remember that act of Hazrat Ibrahim. Besides this, the Eid Al Adha increase the love for humanity especially for the poor people. This is because, the sacrificial meat is divided into three parts, for poor people, for relatives and for own house. So when the meat is distributed among others, it promotes kindness and love among the people.
How did you celebrate your favorite festival last time? |
---|
I have celebrated last Eid Al Adha with a great delight as on that day, I woke up early in the, got ready for Eid namaz and then went towards mosque. Here, I performed Eid namaz and then met with the people and passed Eid greetings like Eid Mubarak. After that I returned home and say Eid Mubarak to my parents, siblings and other relatives. Anyway, after that, we sacrificed our animal and distributed meat among the people and our relatives. At night, we did barbeque and make different dishes to enjoy the meat of our sacrificial animal.
So friends, that was my entry about that topic and I hope you will enjoy reading it. Now it is a time to say goodbye to everyone and I want to invite my friends @fabiha and @jannat12 to take a part in this amazing contest.
