When the light of Islam dawned, these were the religions and sects that were found in Arabia. But all these religions were on the verge of defeat and destruction.
The polytheists who claimed that they were on the religion of Abraham were far from the commands and prohibitions of the Abrahamic law.
These polytheists had nothing to do with the noble morals that this law had taught.
They were full of sins and due to the length of time, the same customs and traditions of idolaters had developed in them, which have the status of religious superstitions.
These customs and traditions had left a very deep impact on their socio-political and religious life.
The condition of the Jewish religion was that it had become mere hypocrisy and tyranny. The Jewish leaders had become God themselves instead of Allah.
They used to exercise their will over people and they used to calculate even the thoughts that passed through their hearts and the movements of their lips.
Their entire attention was focused on somehow acquiring wealth and state, even if it meant destroying religion and promoting disbelief and atheism, and even if it meant being lenient with the teachings that Allah has commanded everyone to sanctify and which He has encouraged to be practiced.
Christianity had become an incomprehensible idolatry. It had confused Allah and man in a strange and strange way. Then, the Arabs who had adopted this religion had no real effect on them because its teachings did not match their familiar way of life and they could not leave their way of life.
The condition of the followers of other Arab religions was like that of the polytheists because their hearts were the same, their beliefs were one, and their customs and traditions were in harmony.
