Hey everyone,

I hope you all are doing well.

A Day in My Life

Today i woke up at 6 am did ablution and performed my fajr prayer. After that i started reciting the Holy Quran. While i was reading, the electricity unexpectedly went out about 1.5 hours before the usual load-shedding time and leaved the entire house in darkness. Normally, our solar system keeps lights and fans running when the power goes out but today the battery wasn't charged so we were left in total darkness.

The heat woke everyone up and we all ended up trying to fan ourselves with whatever books or papers we could find at that time. Luckily, the electricity came back after an hour at 7 am and we all get back to our morning routines. My mother started preparing breakfast and i did some work on my laptop.

Then as usual the power went out again at 7:30 am at its scheduled time. I was not too worried though because i did not get any assignments to complete and submit this week. I just kept thinking about how difficult it would have been if i had a deadline today, especially with the internet down.

After breakfast i got ready for class and left home a little late than usual at around 8:15 am. My father rode the bike a bit faster so i managed to reach class on time and didn't got late. After arriving i punched in my attendance card and settled into my seat.

The class started a bit late today because of internet issues and the SMD (digital screen) wasn’t working. When the SMD starts working class started. Today was a lazy and boring class because the SMD was not working properly which was disturbing the class. At 12 pm the class ended and i headed towards the gate.

I reached home at around 1 pm. After reaching home i prayed Zuhr and then spent some time on my phone. Then at around 3 pm i took a nap and woke up again at 5 pm. In the evening at around 7 pm we were all sitting together in the living room when there was a knock at the door. It was my Khala (aunt). We greeted her and spent some time talking them and then served her some food.

There were 2 to 3 dishes but i just had some macaroni because i was not feeling very hungry.

After dinner i spent some time talking with my little cousin, who is around the same age as my youngest sister. They were busy playing and making drawings. After they finished, they showed me their drawings excitedly.

Around 9 pm my Khala said goodbye and left.
