I hope you all are doing well.
Today was a special day for my family because we celebrated my father's birthday. Our celebrations are always very simple but filled with love. This time we stuck to our usual tradition which ordering our favorite foods for a cozy family dinner. For the elders we ordered chicken karahi and qeema. These two dishes never fail to bring smiles to their faces.
As for me and my sisters, well... it would not be a proper celebration without our beloved zinger burgers. Despite my mom’s playful complaints of "You four always order zinger burgers. Why not try something different for once?" we just cannot seem to part with them. No matter how many food options are available, we always end up choosing burgers. There is something about the crispy, spicy crunch that we are hopelessly addicted to and it’s become a running joke in our family. Every time we decide to order food from outside, we barely need to discuss it because we always want zinger burgers.
More important than the food today was about celebrating the man who has shaped our lives in so many ways, "My Father". On his birthday i want to take a moment to reflect on the amazing person he is. My father is the perfect example of patience and strength. Life has given countless challenges to him but he had always handled them with grace and patience. It is a kind of quiet strength that does not need to be announced but it is felt by everyone around him. He has always been a man of action more than words and his calm guidance has guided us in our thick and thin.
His patience level especially in difficult situations is something i deeply admire. He has teached me that sometimes the best way to face a challenge is not with anger or frustration but with calm determination. Even in the tough times he never gave up. Instead, he deal every hardship fearlessly. He always puts his family first. His love for us and his neverending support has always been a constant source of strength for all of us.
One of my father’s greatest qualities which i admired the most is his kindness. He is the type of person who never leaves a chance to help anyone in need, whether it is family, friends or even strangers. His kindness and generosity has left a lasting impression on those who know him and it is something i strive to adopt in my own life. He never hesitates to lend a helping hand, he always do so with a smile on his face.
Another quality i really appreciate about my father is his wisdom. He is a man of few words but when he speaks, it is always with purpose and thoughtfulness. His advice has helped me in so many tough decisions in my life and his perspective is something i treasure. Whether it is about work or just guiding through life’s ups and downs, my father’s wisdom is always a constant source of guidance. He has teached me to never give up and the importance of hard work, even when things get tough. I am forever grateful that i have learned the worth of determination and strength and it is just because of him.
My father is a very humble person. Inspite of everything he has accomplished in life, he always remains grounded and always think of others before himself. He does not seek recognition or praise for his efforts but those who know him know the depth of his character. His humbleness is a rare quality and it is one of the many qualities that make him so special to us.
On his birthday as we gathered around the table, it was not just the food that gathered us together, it is the love we all share for him. We don't arrange parties or have lavish celebrations but the simplicity of sitting together, sharing a meal, talking and laughing at the same old jokes is what truly makes these moments special. As the evening continued we all took a moment to express our love for having such an amazing man in our lives. And though my father is a man of few words, the smile on his face said it all. It was a little celebration but it is filled with warmth and love.
As i reflect on today, i relized of how fortunate i am to have a father like him. His presence in my life is a huge blessing and i can only hope to live up to the example he has set for us. He has shown me what it means to be strong, kind and patient. I will carry these values with me for the rest of my life.
So here is to my father, the rock of our family and the man we are all so proud to call our own. Happy birthday Dad. You deserve all the happiness in the world.
