Wayanad is one of the offbeat and peaceful destinations in Kerala. It's not crowded or overhyped, just full of adventure and natural beauty.

I started my journey to explore Wayanad today. My first stop was Phantom Rock, a unique rock formation shaped like a man sitting cross-legged. It’s an easy two-minute walk from the parking spot. The views here are amazing, especially the lakes around the hills. Next, I went to Edakkal Caves. To reach there, you need to hike about a kilometer uphill. The entry fee is ₹50, and they also charge ₹20 for carrying plastic bottles. Inside the cave, you’ll find ancient carvings and natural rock formations. The climb is steep but worth it. If you love adventure, you’ll enjoy Wayanad Adventure Park. It has bungee jumping, a glass bridge, and even a Bali swing. For me, the Bali swing and the views from the bridge were the highlights.

Getting around Wayanad is best on a scooter, which costs around ₹700–800 per day. Most tourist spots are far apart, so having your own ride is a must. Wayanad is perfect for budget travelers too. Food here is affordable, and you’ll find small veg restaurants serving simple meals like Aloo Jeera and Dal Fry for less than ₹100. If you visit, plan for 3 days to cover everything—Phantom Rock, Edakkal Caves, Chembra Peak, tea gardens, and waterfalls. Wayanad is different from the usual hill stations like Munnar or Ooty. It’s quiet, green, and full of surprises. I hope you liked it.....
