Automation is the use of technology,not just technology but technologies such as computer software, robotics and many other machines in other to perform tasks that ordinarily would have been done by humans. When we talk about automation,it aims at increasing efficiency, reduce labour cost as well as improving accuracy by way of minimizing human intervention.

Manufacturing Talking about automation in manufacturing,it involves the use of robots, machine learning algorithms and computer aided design software to design, produce and also assemble products.

Service industries In service industries such as customer service, automation involves the use of chatbots, virtual assistants as well as other software to provide an everyday support and solve customer inquiries.

Transportation in transportation,it involves the use of self driving cars, drones,and also the use of other autonomous cars to convey people and goods.

Healthcare when automation is used in healthcare,it involves the use of artificial intelligence and robots in other to diagnose disease, also to develop personalized treatment plans and to assist with surgeries.

Increased efficiencyThis is because automation can perform tasks faster and accurately when compared with humans.

Reduction in labor cost This is because it can reduce the need for human labor as it leads to cost savings .

Improved accuracy This is because it can minimize the risk of human error as this will lead to Improved quality and reliability.

Increased competitiveness It can help business to stay competitive by improving efficiency and reducing cost and also enhancing customer experience.

In life anything that has an advantage is equal to having disadvantages too, Below are some of the drawbacks when it comes to automation.

In the cause of using automation,it can displace people (humans)of their work, especially in industries where most tasks are repetitive or something that can be automated. Again, automation can as well make businesses to depend majorly on technology which may equally lead to vulnerability and risks.

These and more are the major issues with automation, but it has more good than bad to do to us as humans.
