My Wedding Diary - 11 December 2024

Just after Chhath pooja I had gone back to Allahabad. After two weeks I returned home. My sister's engagement was fixed on 17th of November. I reached home a couple of day before the function. I met some of my friends. On the Engagement day we were in hurry as we had to reach the venue by 10 AM and it was around 45 KM away from our home. We have a large family and everyone was being ready early morning. We reached there by 10:20 AM but the 2nd party was late. Although everything concluded very well but we left for home by 7 PM.

Engagement of my younger sister

After a few days my Tilak was going to be concluded. It was on 23rd of November. The period between my sister's engagement and my Tilak was very hectic. Arrangements for Tilak were to be done at home only. So everyone had some tasks. There is some space in front of my house. We used that and tents were installed there for catering and staying of the guests. By 9 PM process of tilak concluded within 2 hours. I met some guests including my office colleagues, friends, relatives. By 12 AM I felt free.

The day of Tilak Ceremony

Next day it was Haldi and after that day Mehandi. Both the day were full of fun and festivities for whole of my family. We enjoyed the function a lot. Small kids danced and played. We cracked jokes while doing preparation for wedding. Allahabad the members were so happy as it was long they had meet to each other. I asked also happy. I don't know how to dance but for videography I managed to dance somehow. It was so funny but family members encouraged me. My sisters had applied very beautiful mehandi design on my hand. I gave them money as Neg (Shagun).

Next day by evening I had bath and wore sherwani and other apparels. Parchhawan was done by 7 PM and then I mounted on Chariot which was drawn by motor. It was decorated with colourful lights. Crackers were burnt all the way to the wedding venue. Reaching there we were welcomed by heart. All the rituals and pooja was done. Food was awesome and guests appreciated the arrangements. By 4 AM my wedding was completed. 6:30 AM I was at my home with my wife. Next day also was busy doing small rituals after marriage.
