Celebrating birthdays was never a tradition in our family, so we don’t usually do anything special on anyone’s birthday. On October 23, it was my younger sister’s birthday. Like I said, we don’t celebrate birthdays and there’s usually no cake cutting or anything. But still, on her birthday, she asked for a cake to cut, just with the four of us

She insisted so much and even added a bit of emotional blackmail, so I had to get her a cake. On October 25, when I opened the website to order one, I saw that cake prices had skyrocketed. The cake I used to get for 1,000 rupees was now 1,600! Since this was on me, I decided to go for a mini cake that a friend suggested—just right for the four of us.

I ended up ordering it from Pakistan's famous Kabajees Bakers. I actually wanted to get it from Rehmat-e-Shireen because their cakes taste better and the portions are larger, but unfortunately they don’t deliver to our area, so Kabajees it was

I ordered a mini chocolate cake (I have already forgotten the exact name), and after an hour it arrived. I paid for it and brought it to the room, and guess what?....... I was so disappointed! The cake was tiny, even smaller than I expected.

I thought it would have at least a little height to it, but it was so small that I could probably finish it alone in two days

In a family of cake lovers, a tiny little cake just doesn’t cut it We were all pretty disappointed. But anyway, it was for my sister, so I handed it to her and said, “Enjoy as much as you can” She was happy to get a cake from me, and that made it worth it. 😊

After dinner, she cut the cake, and our mom divided it among the three of us sisters each getting just one piece, leaving the rest for my younger sister.

It feels so good to be the elder sister that your younger sibling looks up to. But, honestly, wherever we go or grab a bite, it's always on my money I still end up contributing on her behalf though.
