Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I’m back and trying hard to stay consistent and active on Steemit, but honestly, it’s not easy. It’s not like I’m not trying, but my laziness takes over, and I don’t feel like sharing what’s happening in my life with others.
Still, I’m pushing myself to be active, so here I am with another post. As I mentioned in my previous post, last week was super hectic, and it’s obvious why. My friends and I hadn’t worked on our projects for four months, and from Monday to Thursday, we had evaluations and FYP deadlines.
It was chaos, but we had to make time for the projects, so staying up late and working through the night was the only option.
On Monday, I focused on my FYP work because we had a meeting, which was the last milestone for the project. Our first class was statistics, where we had to turn all our work into code and prepare a report. I somehow managed to complete everything on time.
Since I have a good reputation in my stats class, the teacher didn’t even check my report in detail and gave me full marks. On Tuesday, I had a lab exam for numerical computing, but I wasn’t prepared at all. I went to the exam without studying and somehow managed to complete it with a little help from friends.
Wednesday was the toughest and longest day of the week because I had two project evaluations. There were around 12 to 13 groups, and the teacher was taking 15 to 20 minutes per evaluation. This caused the class time to exceed, and our turn didn’t come.
Our teacher decided to use the first-come, first-serve rule, but then he forgot about us and claimed we weren’t in the class or arrived late. This led to an argument where we explained that we were following the rules and had come early, so we should present first.
The teacher got upset, canceled all evaluations, and ended the class, which completely wasted our time.
After this, we went to our numerical computing class and explained our situation to the teacher. He allowed us to present first, and the presentation went well. After that, we went back to our other teacher to complete the remaining evaluation.
Finally, by 4 PM, we were done with everything. It was such a draining day, but at least we managed to finish all evaluations in the end.
Looking back, I realized how much things have changed since my first year. Back then, we used to start working on our projects two months before the evaluations.
By the second year, we started after the midterm exams, but now, in the third year,
we only begin working two or three days before the deadline. What does this mean? It means we are now seniors,
just trying to finish our degree as quickly as possible. It seems like we work best under pressure, and that’s just how it is.
