New grain of rice
The emergence of new rice panicles (rice flower heads) is a significant stage in rice cultivation, marking an exciting and hopeful moment for farmers. When the panicles start to emerge, the plant reaches full growth, which is crucial for the subsequent grain production.
Characteristics of New Rice Panicles Emergence:
1.Time of Panicle Emergence: Generally, it takes 80 to 100 days for panicles to appear on rice plants, although this varies depending on the variety and environmental conditions.
2.Nutritional Requirements: At this stage, it is essential to provide the plant with sufficient nutrients, especially nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, to ensure the panicles are healthy and abundant.
3.Impact of Climate: Weather plays a critical role during panicle emergence. Hot or dry weather can hinder proper panicle development, while maintaining adequate soil moisture during the rainy season supports healthy growth.
4 Pest and Disease Control: The appearance of panicles attracts various pests, such as stem borers, and diseases like rice blast. Regular monitoring and the use of appropriate pesticides are crucial to protect the crops.
5.Harvest Predictions: The number, size, and color of the panicles provide a good indication of the expected yield. Healthier and denser panicles generally result in a better harvest.
The emergence of new rice panicles signals that the rice plants are on the way to producing a bountiful crop, and it allows farmers to begin seeing the results of their hard work.
The rice is rotten
The main reason for rice rotting is the infection caused by various microorganisms, especially fungi and bacteria. Additionally, environmental factors such as excessive moisture, heavy rainfall, or waterlogging in the fields can also lead to rice rotting. Some common causes are:
- Excessive moisture: If there is too much water in the field due to rainfall, or if the rice is not properly dried after harvesting, it can lead to rotting.
2.Fungal infection: Fungi can attack the rice crops, causing them to rot. Fungi thrive in humid conditions.
3.Insect infestation: Certain insects can damage rice plants, which leads to rotting.
4 Delayed harvesting: Harvesting rice at the right time reduces the risk of rotting. However, delays can expose the crops to weather conditions that cause them to rot.
5.Improper storage: If harvested rice is not stored properly or kept in damp conditions, it can rot.
To prevent rice from rotting, proper care, timely harvesting, and correct storage are essential.
