Hello Steemians good morning, my today's post is about my family and their pictures.
I'm from the family of Mr and Mrs (Rtd) Warrant officer Bassey Ikpi, who hails from cross river State of Yakurr local government Ugep cross river State Nigeria. We are five in the family and I happen to come as the last child. My father is currently a retired Warrant officer in the Nigerian Army, while my mother is a Tutor at Army Children school Afi Barracks Ikom cross river State.
My Parent's at Young age .
This picture shows my parents when they were younger at this time they had just 3 children, I wasn't given birth to then. This is the period their bond became stronger and it is the reason they are still together now and will be together till death take them apart.
When my Dad was Promoted to the Rank of Corporal.
I said earlier that my dad is a retired Warrant officer in the Nigerian Army and this picture shows when he was promoted from the rank of Lance Corporal to Corporal and this was a big milestone he achieved. Each Promotion ceremony has been his best day in life and he has lived to testify that.
When my Dad was Promoted to the Rank of Sergeant
Not surprisingly that after 4 years my dad was given a special promotion from coporal to Sergeant by the current commandant of Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) Major General JO Ochai, when he was a Brigadier General he promoted and Congratulated my dad in a decoration ceremony. The picture above is an evidence.
When my Parents had their Blessing of Marriage
This is arguably the best day of their Life, because this is what every couple would pray for to happen, and it surely happened in 19 September 2019, it was a day of success tho, their marriage was blessed by Master Warrant officer (MWO) Rev. Danladi Pius. My parents have had a successful and smooth life together after that ceremony.
This Picture show's all my family member, from the first to the last Born including my nephew. We are all grown up and living a healthy life.
This picture show's when I was promoted as a Staff Sergeant in the Boy's Brigade Nigeria, 3rd Ikom company Afi Barracks Ikom cross river State Nigeria. I was overwhelmed because it's a great privilege. In each company there's always one staff sergeant and I happened to be in that position. I stood alongside fellow staff's from different company's who came for my decoration. That was a blessed day indeed.
This is when I took a picture of myself surrounded with the Pictures I talked about my family. I'm really proud to be part of this great family and all Glory to God for this privilege.
