BILL OF RIGHTS
The 'Bill of Rights' are the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution. These ten amendments were ratified on December 15, 1791.
These are the foundation of INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY and LIMITED GOVERNMENT in the United States.
THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS - BILL OF RIGHTS
The 2nd Amendment states:
- A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Where the 1st Amendment lists several FREEDOMS, the 2nd Amendment provides the means to SECURE those FREEDOMS.
Allow me to restate the 2nd Amendment:
- A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the SECURITY of a FREE STATE, the RIGHT of the people TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS, shall NOT be infringed.
