I got this Perth Mint silver coin in early January, and I want to show it today for World Coin Wednesday.
2020 Australia 1 oz Silver Kookaburra BU
The Silver Kookaburra is the longest-running silver bullion coin program at the Perth Mint. 2020 date mark celebrates the 30th anniversary of the program.
The obverse of 2020 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins bears a distinctive design for the 30th anniversary. At the top is a small circle that features Jody Clarks latest effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Below that in the center of the design field is Stuart Devlins original 1990 image of the kookaburra that launched the program. Special date marks in the design include 1990 2020.
On the reverse of 2020 Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins is a new design from Jennifer McKenna. On this side, a kookaburra is shown on the apex of a roof as the sun rises to greet a new day in the distance. Stylized rays of the sun reach out to the edges of the design field as the kookaburra opens its beak to let out its songbird call. A special inscription along the bottom rocker of the 2020 release states 30th Anniversary to mark the occasion.
#worldcoinwednesday is hosted by @silverd510, a tag which may be used by anyone to show coins from the different world mints.

I know what you mean. I love the 2017 Kookaburra because it had the mommy and baby kooks! But I like this 202 because the sovereign's image is tiny!

I know the Nuie coin is priced a small fortune at thecoinshoppe.ca and I have yet to see the Tower of London appear in any of my Canadian Retailers all year plus this year.

I only get one Kook per year since I started stacking. It is amazing how one coin becomes a lot of Kookaburra coins over the years.
