My Favorite Cultural Festival is Punjab Cultural Festival. There are many cultural festivals in Pakistan . Every Festival has its own importance. These festivals make pakistan more beautiful.
Culture is the name of the traditions, values, way of life, dress, etc that are found in any nation or society. Culture is different for each region, nation and class. As you know I belong to Punjab Pakistan.
Punjab Cultural Festival
Punjab culture day is celebrated at official level every year on 14th March in Pakistan to highlight Punjabi culture.
The salient features of Punjab culture are as follows
Punjabi language
Punjabi is one of the ancient languages spoken in different dialects.
Indigenous wrestling
Indigenous wrestling is very popular in the arenas in Punjab in which young wrestlers show their power. That is why Punjab is the land of wrestlers.Gujranwala city of Punjab is famous in the world because of this sport.
Punjabi dress
In men's clothing, shalwar kameez, turban is worn on the head And women wear shalwar kameez wear different styles of Ghaghra and new design gold jewelery.
Basant(kite festival)
In Punjab, Basant festival was celebrated with great colors and enthusiasm. Sky is full with different color kites .

Food
The diet of Punjabis includes greens, desi ghee, butter, cornbread, lassi and sugarcane juice.

Celebration of Punjab cultural Day in University of Sargodha
Like the whole province of Punjab and Pakistan, we also celebrated Punjab Culture Day on March 14 at the University of Sargodha.All the students dressed in Punjabi attire which made the whole university happy .The purpose of wearing Punjabi dress to promote our culture and gave awareness to other peoples .
Professional dancers and Students performed traditional Punjabi dance to the beat of drums. All the students took part in the dance and made the time memorable for themselves . The dance reminds us of our ancestors who danced on every happy occasion and all the people gathered on the occasion of joy and sorrow.
The Indo-Pak subcontinent horse which was used for royal riding and the horse has a special place in Punjab culture. People of Punjab are very keen on horse breeding and horse riding and javelin throwing are their favorite hobbies.Horse dance was performed at the university.

Traditional food was offered at the university to present Punjabi culture. Bangle stalls and traditional items were display to provide awareness about our traditional items and values.
This is the way how we celebrate it. These are norms of our society. Culture makes society more beautiful. Without culture , no society can survive. Only those societies survive who have their own culture. Societ live as culture live.

Basant festival is my favourite but government has not allowed completely. Punjabi dress has pretty look. I also wear punjabi dresses that shows my promotion to my culture. When people misuse then government take strict action. We shouldn't disturb the rules. Rules are rules. No doubt Basant is a beautiful activity. I have always been wondering about so many festivals celebrated in Punjab and this post of yours has helped me a lot in learning about them Sometimes when you read about them in books, it doesn't help you much. But reading here through a person who has enjoyed them, gives you the real feel.
