The diary game '27-07-22' || Rainwater all around

Assalamualaikum everyone. I hope you are enjoying this monsoon season nowadays and taking care of yourself and families as it is not anymore enjoyable for many now. I love rainy season for good number of reasons but this is the problem of karachi k we wait for rain almost the 12 months and our prays get fulfilled only once a year in a way that it rains terribly. Many people suffer due to it's excessiveness.

Well I'll be starting with the day now..
As I'm busy doing nothing nowadays, I woke up at 10:30 but kept laying on bed till 12 due to my laziness. I'm not all the time slow honestly but I become active or behave actively only when it's needed lol.
Nowadays I'm not going to University as it's my summer break which means I have absolutely nothing to do. So after doing the breakfast dishes of my siblings, I sat with them to watch some cartoons.

I am sure everybody is aware of this character. Mr.Bean, Tom & Jerry and keymonache are my all time favourites. Even now I interestingly can watch them for hours becuase we grew up watching them. Sometimes I wonder how super talented Cartoon or animated series makers and writers are as it must be very difficult to come up with different stories everytime with the same characters and that too should look professional, colorful, attractive and even lesson based sometimes.
Well I feel afraid of The Simpsons that predicts the future!

It started drizzling again at 1 pm. The weather looked so pleasant that we cousins planned to go out. This is one of the great benefits of joint family that you never feel bored. Especially when cousins are your age or old enough that you can play, enjoy and go out together anytime without parent's consult.

We couldn't go far as it was raining heavily but had tea from the dhaba near to our society.
I'm not really a tea person like my mother but trust me it was the weather that made our mood and called us towards tea.
It tasted amazing just like it's look.

We then ate pani puri also called golgappy which weren't really good. We ordered 5 plates and 2 of them went wasted. We should've tasted first instead of just giving order for everybody. I really want to visit India one day just for it's great quality street foods.

On our way back we got stucked because of the rainwater. There is a severe flooding everywhere which caused traffic jams in most of the areas. One doesn't have to go Keenjhar lake for a picnic, the joy can be taken here as well.

As it's been raining on and off in karachi for weeks now; DHA, Surjani town, nazimabad, Tariq road and many other areas of the city are overflooded. Water even entered the houses of the residents.

My friends who live in DHA told me how badly their Eid festivities got ruined due to this. First of all the qurabani wasn't easy. Then they couldn't go anywhere or invite others at their place. And icing on the cake that there was no electricity for two days consistently. Situation is still almost the same and will remain same until this rainy season ends. In some areas the rainwater mixed with sawage came inside shops and houses.

The residents indeed witnessed massive hardships there.

We managed to come back home around 5 pm. The rain had stopped and the greenery looked fresh and pleasing.

After changing or taking bath, I laid on bed and rested for hours like I came from farming or some kind of effortful work lol!.

While scrolling what I saw was just.. My teachers had already told us about university's pakistan tour a long time ago but I definitely had to ignore it knowing baba's reaction. I knew he'd just laugh and say okay, go..
But this time, they posted about the whole tour, what they'd be doing there, where exactly are they taking us and the fethey're charging.

I am an adventurous person and these things just by talking about them make me feel so excited and elevated.
The areas they'd be visiting are kashmir, hunza, skardu and naran. I know from my friends that they stay in a luxurious hotel with all the facilities. Last time they charged like 26,000 or something for 11 days and this time when offcourse the era has changed, they're charging 38,000 per person. It will include travelling expenses, hotel rooms, breakfast and dinner (not lunch because we should eat less lol) and other activities such as river rafting, jet ski, boating, camping, bonfire, musical nights etc..

I really want to go and enjoy with friends but inside somewhere I know I shouldn't go. It isn't about some hours but 13 days, which is huge man! There are many other reasons as well that don't allow me to request my father to give me permission for this.

But I still told baba about the tour and that everyone is going, let me go too please al.. I basically play Door-in-the-face technique that is a tactic based on reciprocity which means I get a "no" to a costly request that is I know impossible to be accepted, in order to get a "Yes" to a reasonable one eg whenever university is going for a picnic on a beach for example, I'd just say give me money, We're going to a beach next week.. This way he never says no, just asks me the details afterwards.

This was a beautiful night view as it rained all day and here the day ended.

In the end I want to clear that the family I live in is niether conservative nor modern and I'm completely satisfied with it and love it the way it is. Parents should have some control and strictness on their children I believe. And indeed they want and know best for us.
