Hello and Asslamualikum everyone how are you all doing??? I hope everyone is doing great.it’s me @aneela78 I’m here again to share another diary with you all.
As usual my day start at 6:00am. I made breakfast and after having breakfast I got ready for college. And I left home round about 7:00am and reached college at 7:15am.
After reaching at college I went to my office and start doing the daily basis tasks. As I mention in my title it was also a Thalassemia session in my college for the university students. In our college there are also University programs at evening. So Give Life organisation members came at 1:00pm and session started round about 1:30pm.
Give Life is Charitable organisation. They asked to conduct a session regarding Thalassemia in our college.Basically main purpose of this organisation is they brings together blood donors and patients needing blood. And they motivate people to help humans directly i their time of need.
The session was about the self-awareness about the importance of blood and the condition of the person who is in need of the blood which they have. They also tell abou WHAT IS THALASSEMIA??? WHAT IS THALASSEMIA MINOR ??? WHAT IS THALASSEMIA MAJOR??? AND WHAT IS THALASSEMIA INTERMEDIATE???
Thalassemia is an inherited disease, it is present in your genes.
This transmission occurs when people with thalassemia minor (also called carrier and treat) marry thalassemia minor.
The ratio of thalassemia in children in each pregnancy is given in the chart above.
There is only one way to prevent thalassemia that is 100% successful, is that people with thalassemia minor should not marry people with thalassemia minor.
And getting tested for thalassemia minor will tell you if you have a career or not.
Thalassemia occurs when there is an abnormal change in a gene involved in the production of hemoglobin. If it happens then the children will not have any symptoms but they have become carriers. If both parents have thalassemia carriers then their children are more likely to inherit a more serious form of this disease which is called thalassemia major.
They were also checking the Blood Group.Students get their blood group checked. Overall it was very informative session. GIVE LIFE foundation is working very hard to give awareness about the Thalassemia.
There are Round about one lac patients of Thalassemia Major and round about one core patients of Thalassemia Minor and there are 600 Children of Thalassemia are in Sargodha City. One test only one test of Thalassemia can save our Generation from this disease.Thalassemia test before marriage(HB Electrophoresis)
Make sure that the child is not born with this contagious disease in the next generation.
Be aware of thalassemia yourself and pass it on to others.
