Cultural events are an integral element of every country's and civilization's culture. These celebrations provide the locals with an opportunity to be happy about something.
For people all throughout the world, these events are a source of joy. There is a lot of variety in cultural activities. Cultural Festivals are commemorated in a variety of ways. These festivals could, for example, take the form of exhibitions, street shows, events, and much more. The major purpose of these celebrations is to promote peace between people.
We can see a variety of cultural and traditional festivals if we go back far enough in history. For example, the Oktoberfest in Munich is the world's largest beer festival as well as a traveling funfair that lasts more than ten days. In Munich, millions of people come together in harmony to connect with one another. Or consider the Eyo Festival, which takes place on an island in Nigeria.
The objective of mentioning these many festivals is to convey to you that we all value and appreciate these events. These have been going on throughout history since mankind first populated the planet. Religious events, in addition to cultural ones, are held in high regard and reverence. There are several religious festivals, such as the Holi Festival, which is celebrated annually by millions of Hindus. Christmas, which is celebrated by Christians all over the world every December, or Eid, which is a gift from God to Muslims.
We have Eid ul fitr tomorrow in Pakistan and the rest of the Sub Continent. And what better time to write about this Religious festival than this. So Buckle up your belts, I am about to give you an experience of Eid ul fitr, which we Muslims, get to celebrate every year.
EID UL FITR
MashaAllah
Ramadan is a blessed and holy month in which Muslims fast for 30 days without a gap. It is a month of spiritual cleansing for us Muslims. Yes, it's not easy. It's not easy to fast for 30 days straight and God knows that as well. So at the end of the 30th day, God has gifted us a day of rejoicing. A day of happiness. A day of joy. A day, we celebrate after 30 long days of trials. This festival carries on for three days which starts with the Congregational Eid prayers, sharing sweets, and gifts, and visiting each others' homes. Eid ul Fitr is celebrated every year, by more than 2 Billion Muslims worldwide.
The family's males go to the mosque for communal prayers, while the ladies prepare traditional Eid meals. On an Eid morning, it's never easy. It begins with fathers frantically rousing their children to get ready. Outside the shower area, there is a queue of people waiting for their time to shower. Some of the family's males can't find their garments, while others make a ruckus seeking their shoes. Wreaking havoc, as we like to call it.
The typical Eid meal consists of Sheer Khorma and omelets, bread, Parathas, and sweets.

After we've finished eating, our relatives begin to arrive at our home. I adore this aspect of Eid since it brings us all together for at least a day after months of hectic activities. People obviously do not have time to visit their family on a daily basis, so we have an opportunity to be together on this day.
We all sit about and speak about various topics, whether it's politics, sports, or something else entirely. After then, it's photography time. Yess. On Eid, we enjoy doing just that. Even the family's elders, who have no interest in photography, become the focus of attention during Eid days.
Then comes the most favorite part of the Eid Festival:
Recieving Eidi:
On Eid days, all of us are usually so happy to be blessed with this festival. Everyone tries their best to be nice to each other, to have a big bright smile on their faces, and to keep the children happy as well. I am about to tell you about a tradition of Eid, which the kids absolutely love doing on Eid and that is:
Receiving Eidi from the elders. Now one might question, what is Eidi? Eidi is a form of love shown by the elders of the family to the kids in which they give money to family members who are younger than them. So it doesn't matter if you're anyone's younger brother, cousin, sister, kid or any other relation you can think of. If you're younger, you'll receive eidi. Now, this eidi could be any amount. It could be 100 Rupees(1.2 steem) 500 Rupees (5 steem) or maybe 5000 Rupees ( 60 steem) it depends upon the capacity of the people to give out money.
An example of an envelope in which eidi is given
The eidi is handed over in an envelope. It's a different sort of excitement, to be not sure how much money will there be inside the package. I remember, as kids, we used to guess the amount of money inside. Whoever guessed it right used to be the winner. Good old days. At the end of the Eid festival, all the cousins sit together and compare the amount of Eidi they have received. Whoever has the most amount flexes the most.
The aura of the Eid Festival is different. We are all so happy because of this event. This Festival brings joy and peace to the whole family. In this busy world that we live in, it's a festival of escape. For a couple of days, we forget all the worries in the world and focus on our relatives and our gatherings. The females apply henna on their hands, the males buy matching dresses with their wives, and the kids compare their eidi with each other, it's a blissful feeling.
With this, I'd like to end this article. I loved taking part in this engagement challenge, and I would love to read about different cultural and religious festivals from all around the world. I'd love to read about festivals in Cameroon, @fombae, I'm counting on you on this one. I'd love to read about festivals in Nigeria, I'm sure @reminiscence01 would come with a brilliant post. From Turkey, where I'm sure, Eid is celebrated on a mass level, I'm looking forward to reading about the cultural events that take place there. I'll be waiting for your entries @whyshy and @enveng. A culturally rich country, Indonesia, I am expecting a large number of entries from there as well. My two brothers from Indonesia, @harferri, and @tucsond I'll be waiting to read about your cultural festivals. And from Venezuela, I'll be waiting for @yrmaleza to post about her cultural events. 😀😀
In short, I'm desperately waiting to read about all the cultural events that take place all around the world. I love interacting with people from different countries and what better way to do that than reading about their culture in this engagement challenge? Thank you for reading up till this point.
Regards

Hi dear @huzaifanaveed1, happy eid ul-fitr 🤗 You explained Ramadan Feast very well, I felt happy while reading it😊 In addition to the fact that we have the same holiday, our activities are also very similar. It is very nice of you to tell by giving a special place to the Eidi.
Getting together with our acquaintances is my favorite part of the holiday and I have to admit it's dessert 😄 In Turkey, the guest is usually served baklava for dessert and I love it very much. I did not know Sheer khurma, if I can find it in Turkey, I would like to taste it at the first opportunity.
Visits have decreased due to Covid19, let's see how this holiday will be. As you said, there are various celebrations all over the world, I hope everyone you invite writes a post. I will also try to write. Thanks for telling this bairam well 🍬

Thank you for going through my post friend. As I have told you this before as well, I absolutely love Turkey and the Turkish people and I'd definitely visit Turkey soon.
I have heard a lot about Turkey and the desserts available there. I have tried a couple of Turkish Sweet dishes as well, which include The Turkish Delight and the Tulumba. Also the famous Turkish Ice cream in which the man makes it so difficult for the customer to his hands on the dessert. You know, we have copy of that ice cream in Pakistan as well.
As I know, you love to travel, where will you be traveling in the upcoming holidays? Any specific plans? Maybe I'll read about them in the engagement challenge.

Ramadan and then eid two my most favorite holy months.. Eid is all about dressing up , sheer khorma , recieving eidi and meeting relatives and friends ❣️
This is the best gift thay Allah give us after ramadan . We wait for eid and at same time we don't want ramadan to end as we are so close to Allah in this month.
May Allah accept our fasts and forgive us.

Great entry brother, eid ul Fitr is one of a kind that comes with blessing, the part where your culture gives rupees to the young one is similar in my country as well, just that in the case of ours, we give zakat ul Fitr to the less privilege on the eid day, it's nice reading about eid celebration in your country, it encompasses me to know more.
Wish you Goodluck!!

Thank you brother. Here in Pakistan as well, we pay the fitrana to the poor before the Eid congregational prayers. It's actually a sunnah to do that and without that your eid day cannot be started.
We get ready in the morning, with the best dresses, applying perfumes and looking presentable. After that we go to the Masjid but before doing that, we pay te compulsory Zakat ul fitr.

You have described the Eid Festival in such a nice way. Eid, indeed, is one of the most important festivals for Muslims. We only get it once a year, and it is such a joyous event. With that being said, Eid Mubarik to you and your family. May this eid bring happiness to you and your family.

This is that aspect of culture which I will always say let make it a habit to put smiles on each other faces. Not waiting for a particular period. I grew up in the Christian belief and noticed during the Xmas period, that the period you will see a lot of sharing and nice talk. I will ask myself where we keep the other part of the year. Trying to be nice for me, needs to be a daily routine that we need to try to make a habit.
I love this act of giving I always sey children are good at coping attitudes. As our elders show us how to give, the same is how we will pick it up and will show it to others,
Wow, I'm interested in this game LOL. I'm very sure some kids will want to receive a percentage cut from the sum after winning LOL.
Festivals are actually moments of joy and happiness in the family, most of the time differences are kept aside just to make that day a peaceful one.
My take-home from your cultural background is the act of giving, it is something I have always admired in the Muslim religion. I remember I used to tell my Mom if I have to rethink picking a religion. I will gladly pick the Islamic religion. Thanks for tagging me, will defiantly share my culture in a post.

💯💯💯. You know, in our religion, Islam, it's called Huqooq ul Ibad which means the right of people. Which includes different things such as being nice to them, not eating up their rights and much more and if you don't follow all of these, you can never be a good Muslim, even if you're praying your obligatory prayers.
Indeed, Islam is a religion of Giving. Giving ourselves to the submission of Allah. Giving charity, giving people smiles, being nice to them. All of these are a must thing for any Muslim to be called a muslim.
That's a very thoughtful comment. I'd recommend you to read about the Islamic religion and you'll definitely love it.
Thank you for engaging with my post brother, I'll be waiting for your entry.
