Asalam o alikum everybody, I hope you all are doing great.
This is my first post in Steemit engagement challenge week 2 and I have chosen to write on Pakistan culture. Well, we all are aware of how diverse Pakistani culture is we have people from various religions and various tribes and areas and all have different festivities which they celebrate however I’m going to write on Eid ul Fitr.
EID UL FITR 2022
Eid ul Fitr is celebrated right after the end of the month of Ramadan. This day is considered a gift from Allah to us believers who have fasted, prayed, and followed all the religious obligations during the holy month of Ramadan. This festival is of Islam but in Pakistan, it is celebrated by everybody. A few of my Christian and Hindu friends also dress up on Eid and post pictures and visit their relatives as well. This festival joins not only Muslims but communities as a whole.
Before the morning of Eid ul Fitr, Chand Raat is celebrated. Chand Raat is celebrated after the moon sighting of Shawwal after the last Iftar of Ramadan.
During Chaand Raat in Pakistan, there Is chaos in literally every household, some are involved in cleaning, some are re-arranging furniture to accommodate more guests on eid, girls are busy ironing clothes most importantly getting their henna done without which Eid is basically incomplete. Meanwhile, men are trying their best to help with chores some are running last-minute errands for their sisters or mother to tailor or to get last-minute groceries.
Well the next morning, the morning of Eid ul Fitr, everybody gets up early and gets ready. All the men of the house wear new clothes apply perfume and go to the mosque for Eid namaz.
My cousin all dressed up for eid MashaAllah
Meanwhile, they are gone all the arrangements are done and all the females get ready. When they come back they are served sheer Qorma and in my house, since my dad is the eldest all his brothers and sisters come over and we all have a huge breakfast together. Then it's our turn to get ideas from our elders before they leave. We all get ready and take pictures then have lunch which includes so many dishes like biryani, Russian salad, qorma, tandoori chicken and so much more.

Usually on Eid, relatives, and friends visit each other on the first day. The second day is also similar and on the third day something is either planned out or it's just a chill day in which you can do whatever.
One thing that all the females here in this community will agree with me on is that we all love applying Mehndi on our hands. It is a traditional practice in which females apply Mehndi, to look pretty. More than that, the main reason for me is to look good in my own sight. I love applying Mehndi on my hands, as I feel, they make me look prettier, Applying Mehndi is not an easy task and it takes a lot of patience as well as skill to do it perfectly.
Conclusion
overall, Eid is a very important festival for us. We all really enjoy celebrating it. I am sure all of the people here in this community, wo celebrate Eid will agree with me on this. With this, I would like to end my blog. I invite @wajihasheikh and @mubeesahar to take part in this Steemit challenge.
Thank you
Regards

Hello, friend, your culture is very broad. I think I have an Arab part because of my grandparents, but I never met them, that is why I like all their traditions. Eid ul Fitr is a beautiful holiday after Ramadan. It really is Alla's reward for your fervent devotion during the holy month of Ramadan. it would be lovely to participate greetings ..

Khair Mubarak. Sheer khorma is a dish made in milk with seviyan (vermicelli) with different types of dry fruits and coconut added in it. It's a cultural muslim dish usually eaten on eid days
