ASSALAM O ALAIKUM to all my steemit family members!
Its Rida Aly, again. I'm here to update you guys about my life happenings, which was quite crazy today. Because today was 23rd October which is supposed to be my birthday. I turned 22 this year which is not so pleasing ofcourse because who likes to turn old :D
Although I turned 22 but I can't feel myself this old, I still beleive I am a care-free teenage girl who loves to enjoy life without stressing out about tons of assignments and lectures. Anyways, some wise person said "Age is just a number" so we won't stress on age from now on :D
Lets stop ranting about age and dig into my day today.
SURPRISE
The moment clock struck 12 and the date changed to 23.10.21, my door-bell rang.
I was surprised to see a delivery guy at my door with an adorable parcel in his hand. I didn't ordered anything so I was curious why is this delivery for me. When i received that parcel it had a cute little note on it saying "Happy Birthday my best friend"
Yes, it was a surprise package for me from my best friend.
I was so overwhelmed to see that parcel, it had quite emotional letters for me and was full of chocolates and some accessories for me.
I got a bit teary-eyed after seeing this all and who wont get emotional after receiving a cute package like this.
BIRTHDAY MORNING
I woke up late in the morning. Not morning actually it was afternoon when I woke up :P
I got a special treatment from my beloved mama. She served me breakfast in bed which I miss the most in my hectic routine.
She made doughnuts and a healthy smoothie for me and got me cookies from the bakery.

EVENING
After I got done with my breakfast I took a shower and got ready for my birthday. I replied to all the warm birthday wishes that I got on social media. Then my father came back from his office and after gathering all the family members I finally cut my cake.
My cake was beyond yummy. It was from K-bakers. They have the best cakes in karachi. K-bakers have recently opened its new branch in North Nazimabad. I would highly recommend you guys to try they German-fudge. They have really reasonable prices and such moist cakes.
END TO MY BIRTHDAY
Finally after evening snackings, I went to my study room and studied for good 4 hours. Then had a dinner with my family. And watched couple of episodes of 'Jane the Virgin'.
I just started watching this show on netflix and obsessed to this show already!!!
I am writing this post currently and after posting this I will go to sleep and will be ready to face tomorrow.
Here I will wrap up my post.
