Cocktail on a Rainy Evening
WARM GREETINGS TO ALL STEEMIANS... sorry but I think my friend @zaid311's way of starting posts is pretty funny, sounds so formal. Anyways, right off the bat I would like to congratulate @steemit-pak STEEMIT PAKISTAN, all its moderators and community members on getting selected as October Community of the Month. It has been an honour to be part of this community and so much fun to interact with everyone. I hope and pray for more success in the future.
With that out of the way let's begin our day with a beautiful morning. I got out of the house at 7 am to head for uni. There was warnings for Cyclone Gulab at around 12-1 pm but during the morning the sky looked beautiful with little cloud cover and rays of sunshine pearing through it. I had to stop the bike and take a couple pictures for the diary, even if that meant I was 5 minutes late to class haha. The classes went as usual, I talked, my friends tried to study, nothing exciting happened. We are all just hoping for rain to start and classes to end.
After coming home from university, there was only light rain, which made the weather pleasant but thankfully no cyclone. It looked like Abdullah Shah Ghazi's tomb had protected Karachi once again from a disaster. My neighbourhood friend asked me for help regarding some Programming Fundamentals homework, so as soon as the rain died down, I went to his house and started work on his coding skills.
After the boring studies, we decided to enjoy the light rain outside and go for a walk. I grabbed my colourful rainbow umbrella and went out around 7:30 pm. Now the rain wasn't enough for me to require the umbrella, I actually kept it to shield myself from the water that splashed when cars and motorbikes went by. Modern problems require modern solutions. On the walk, we decided it would be best to accompany this nice refreshing weather with a refreshing drink. There is a new Cocktail and Limca store that opened in our neighbourhood called "Swizzle". So we decided to try it.
The shopkeeper for some reason thought that we were super burger bachas and so he asked in English, "I recommend you try 'Make your own Cocktail' deal for Rs. 100, it's really good". I replied with "Yeah because it has c*ck in it!"... 😂 I know, I know, I have the brain of a 12 year old but my friend laughed so I'm winning, clearly. The shopkeeper also laughed but was caught off-guard and said nervously "No it definitely doesn't have that in it.". I chose to get Raspberry and Blueberry carbonated cocktail since the colours looked great. And let me tell you, it might sound expensive to get what is basically a fizzy fuit juice mix for 100 Rs but it was completely worth it. 10/10 Will try again.
Thanks to Steemit Pakistan for all the support !
