After seeing interest of many friends in decoupage I am here again with details of decoupage technique.

In my opinion,if we want to make simple things in to trendy one we gave them attractive and fancy names. So decoupage is that fancy name. It's very simple yet unique.

Decoupage technique hardly takes 5-10 mins but thinking time of what to glue n where to glue takes time .

As I said earlier (in part 1)that it is basically technique of glueing cutouts on different mediums.

In this we have 3 basic things
1)what to glue
2)where to glue
3)how to glue

What to glue:
Any print, which you like and wants to transfer on ur desired surface, it may be on any

Paper Napkin
Grift wrapping sheet
Magazine
Book
Fabric
Anything on internet(u get printout of that on fine paper)

Where to glue:

Different surfaces are used in this

Wood
Glass bottles
Iron/steel
Pebbles
Ceramics
Or on anything which u want.

How to glue:

Modpodge,it's the only thing which is used for glueing and is available in market. This is glue which is used for decoupage, but if you don't find it we had an alternate...home made decoupage (I never bought modpodge always use homemade in all type of projects) so here is recipe.

For this you just need 2 ingredients
German glue(any type)
Water

Ratio will be 2:1
2table spoon German glue and 1 table spoon water. Mix it thoroughly that no lumps remained in mixture.

Procedure:
You must have something in mind that what you really wants, this thing takes time means planning. Like what print you want what will be the base colour. Always remember arts is basically game of colours, select those base colour which enhance you cutouts.

Now prime your surface. Primers are available in market but if you don't have that, paint white colour as it enhances every colour. Primer is compulsory on wood articles.

After applying primer

Now cut your desired print, brush glue mixture or modpodge on surface n paste cutout. Now brush this mixture on the cutout thoroughly but softly. Make sure that no wrinkle or bubbles remains while brushing.

Final look

Take extra care if you are pasting paper napkin because it's very delicate n when you brush glue on it it become wet n more thin so your hard stroke may torn it.

Now let it dry, when it completely dries varnish it or use lacquer spray. Varnish helps to seal the print that it don't come out and it also gives shine to your project.

Tadaaa your work is done.

I tried to cover all areas hope u find it easy.
But, try to do it because theory is always difficult than practical. I am sure u will find it a piece of cake in your 1st project.
